Sorry, I don't have any pics or sound clips yet, I'll get some up saturday.
John at PTP fabbed in a 3" QTP Electronic Cutout into his midpipe for me. We couldn't find a location directly under the downpipe that it would fit, so he put it cocked off to the side towards the rear of the midpipe. (rockon)
I should clairfy, before this install, all I had was a Corksport DP.
After MP: I LOVE IT. At idle, it's much deeper sound, with a little rumble to it. At WOT the car just screams. I can't hear anything but my car begging for me to beat on it some more. It feels great, and sounds even better. Power feels great, I'll do some back to back pulls open and closed Friday night to see if there's a difference. It's tough for me to tell if it's just the MP or the e-cutout. Although, I definitely gain 2-3psi just by opeing the cutout.
A perfect example of why I love it: After leaving PTP, I took a detour home. I was rolling with the e-cutout open (why not?) when I saw 4 cops on the offramp I was getting on, they had just finished whatever they were doing and pulled out behind me. Luckily, I closed the e-cutout before I went by. I took the next exit, and went the other way on the highway, opening the e-cutout, and flooring it
I would highly reccomend ANYONE to get an e-cutout, especially if you have problems with cops and loud exhaust.
I'll be dynoing Saturday, I'm really excited to see what I put down. I'll have vids, pics, and a graph on Saturday when I get home.
A big thanks to John, he stayed up pretty late tonight modding the mid pipe and helping me figure out the switch (I think we popped, what, 4? 5? fuses?) after putting in very long, stressful day working on other cars. (drinks)

Ok, here's the vids and dyno sheets and video. This is the same dyno I went to last year, so they were able to pull my old file and graph last years with todays. As for the audio, it came out better, but still doesn't sound quite right on the video.
*sorry for the crappy pics of the dyno sheets, I'll scan them at work monday*
Pulled 271.78/297.46
E-cutout Open [RunFile_008] vs. Closed [RunFile_005] (+1hp, 10tq)
And last year (Cobb SRI, RPMC Inlet, Forge BPV) vs. today
The video just doesn't do it justice.
YouTube - Mazdaspeed 3 dyno (e-cutout open)
So now that's i've had a chance to drive it, I can say it is definitely worth it. I gain ~3-4 psi just by opening the cutout. A dual stage boost controller would be ideal for that issue though. (or a tune) I had a couple people tell me today it sounds like a mix between a Subaru and a dump truck, lol.... It's deep and throaty, and just sounds pissed.
