roof rack install question

I am hoping someone will be able to tell me how the plastic trim on the roof of my mazdaspeed 3 comes out so I can install a roof rack. Thanks, your help is greatly appreciated.

why not get a hidden hitch and hitch rack? I couldn't bare the thought of an ugly roof rack on these beautiful ms3's.

What do you need it for? Bikes? Skis? Kayak? Deer hunting?

I'm not very fond of putting a rack on my speed either but it won't be on there all of the time and another thing I'm not fond of is my mountain bike dangling off the back waiting for someone to hit.

my buddy has a rack, i think its super hott... and soon ill be getting one for my bikes as well.. i think the hidden hitch thing is ugly as sin.. but different stroke for different folks ... ill try to get you an answer oin the plastic things..

You just pull it straight up. Snaps right off. Don't use too much muscle or it will bend.

Doesn't really make much of a difference.

C&D i think did a study saying it reduced mpg on their track by about 5-10%, that was without anything on it.

Not saying don't do it just an fyi

be away of drive throughs with the bike up top.....a buddy of mine trashed his bike....the rack...and put HUGE dents and crunch marks on the roof of his p5
