What have you done to your P5 today?

i'm finding plenty of 04 G35 sedans with 60K miles for $12k

i'm picky though, i want the black leather interior

and are the new maxima's RWD? I know all previous models were FWD.

and for my price range i'm lookin, i don't like the maxima's

black leather in FL is nothing. The P5 had leather, never an issue and I drove a black eclipse w/ black leather and besides being a little warm sometimes it was no hotter than any other car that sat in the sun to me lol

and yeah, 60k, ouch...
60k. Ouch.

and black leather interior in FL. yikes.

got black leather in both cars currently. Just tint the windows and put a sunshade on the windshield when parked.

and, from the G forums i've been lurking on, 60K is aa big mainince point, but, if well maintained, they'll go 200K plus

well, i'd be buying warranty as well. I won't buy private seller

i LOVE having bought the warranty on the Mazda. it's already paid for itself twice over

and with the luck i have on cars, gotta love the random problems i've faced so far

Seriously, do yourself a favor, spend a couple grand more and get lower mileage. Warranty doesnt pay for big scheduled maintanence tickets....

i'm just doing research at the moment

it all depends on if we get a bonus this year or not.

With sales the way they are, i'll be driving the Pro5 for a while. lol

oh, and, anybody else's thoughts

does adding an UDP reduce engine vibes with the A/C on?

It was mentioned to me that by adding the UDP, idle is slightly bumped up, which at idle is where the vibes are worst with the A/c on

reason i ask is car at idle with the A/C shakes and makes people feel sick......had a car full of people this past weekend and they wanted to know what was wrong with my car. lol

I doubt it. If anything, it could potentially make it worse. The only thing that I can think of that'll soften that out is to go with softer than stock mounts on all locations.

i know going back to stock mounts will fix the vibes......but getting to that rear mount....gah

i can do the other 3 no problem

I agree....and you seriously think the 'G' doesn't stand out amongst other cars on the road?

Not around here

older G's, 3 series, and Lexus IS's are like civics in the area i work

But, i work in teh captial of retiree village

Geez you change your mind more than any female I have ever known, why not be happy with what you have instead of forever chasing the end of the rainbow.

i don't change my mind, i just never set my mind to anything

So, it doesn't really get changed

i just do load and loads of research hearing all sides of anything and everything

Plus, i do this when I'm bored

Got my timing belt and water pump changed on Monday.
One rubber boot fell off a spark plug wire but still runs.
Bought some long reach NGK spark plugs yesterday and still looking for wires locally. On next Monday it will probably be tranny flush with non-synthetic stuff cause the amsoil synth stuff is a sh!tload of money and can't justify.

I just noticed that my car appears to be knocking/fuel cutting at WOT. It's not like I'm running into a brick wall, more like small fuel cuts about once every second or so that's why I think it might be detonation though why I have no idea. I'm pretty sure it isn't rod knock because that would be throughout the engine speed range and I imagine it would constantly do it, not every second or so. I guess I'll turn the boost down a little and see if that fixes it (I'm only at ~10 psi according to my gauge). :(

are you tuned? Maybe try pulling a couple degrees of timing out and see if that helps. Do you have any way of logging the ECU parameters to see what the engine's doing?
