That's actually a good question. Anyone have any other tips or tricks on how to get the bay nice and shiny? I'm going to want to do this before I head to Indiana and have my car on display to everyone :P

make sure you cover your fusebox/ecu/any wires with a trashbag and tape it down. dilute ur apc, spray it on, let it sit for like 10-15 minutes, agitate with brush, then spray it down with some high pressured water. dry it off and coat with whatever plastic polish you guys use.

Don't spray degreaser on your engine and let it sit if the block is warm! trust me you will regret it!

Here is mine ...forgot to put batt cover back on before taking picture.
I know its not clean and I will probably dress it up later on I have been in and out of the engine bay so much the last 2 weeks that I don't feel like scrubbing.
edit: apparently all of my nice pics are too large ...gheysauce
edit2: just noticed my windshield wiper fluid cap is not on all the way...

I love it. It looks sick. Only problem is that they sent it with two dents in one of the pipes. I'm waiting for an answer from Cobb on what they want to do to make this right. Shouldn't be a huge deal to make an extra pipe and ship it out. We'll see.

an upadated one

Isn't it better to run with the intercooler cover on? It provides a sealing area so no air can just go by the intercooler, so it directs more air into it. Also the little grate cross pieces are angled to pull more air into it as well. But the biggest part would be the sealing area.

I put my HKS intake back in. I was sick of my ****** up fuel trims from the Cobb. It looks like a Christmas party in my engine bay!

What problem have you had with the Cobb intake? I have a Aeroforce scan gauge on it's way so I can not yet see what my fuel trims are but my car pulls hard.

Looks nice. Is that black powdercoat on the shroud? How's it holding up?

I like your TMIC. I'm thinking of getting an ETS with the intercooler and the shroud powdercoated black.

Dude it's ridiculous. Lately my car was idling between 13:1 and 15:1 AFR with STFTs going all over the damn place. The final straw was yesterday when I noticed my STFTs were bouncing up to +24 when coasting to a stop.

I was working with Cobb trying to get a handle on the fuel trim problems (sending them data logs and stuff), but they eventually completely ignored me.

As an added bonus, when I removed the Cobb SRI, my damn Cobb turbo inlet sleeve was crushed from the clamp. Cobb should have included better sleeves with this inlet. Oh, the MAF housing was slightly bent from the clamps as well. And I honestly didn't tighten them super tight.

It's anodized black from ETS. I ordered it when I realized the shroud that came with my used ETS was cut too short and my black duplicolor paint job on it was a disaster anyway.

Highly recommended (2thumbs)

i thought the shroud came powder coated from ETS? All the websites that sell them have powder coating as an option.
