and today i did.... nothing to the car. it sucks being unemployed and no oney for mods. i got a job interview on friday though!!

dropped her off for an $80.00 inspection, told them to check out a few things and got a call with a quote around $850...

inspection/emissions - $79.99
replace all belts - $147
rear bushings - $88
front bushings - $515
valve cover gasket - $140
front mm - just labor, I have a medieval ive been waiting to put on, but they wont give me my inspection sticker unless its replaced first, so I have to take it to them and pay for labor I can do myself, ughh...

So, change the belts and give me my car back please, I'll take it from there.

screw that noise! I say fail my ass on the inspection and Ill come back within a week or so and try again after all thats taken care of... 147 just for belt replacement.. Are they smoking crack?

for the front bushings??? dude they are ripping into that s***...if anyone thinks they need to dropt the subframe to get to the swaybar bushings they are dead ass wrong...I did it myself as easy as taking off the wheel and getting under the car...hell you could leave the wheel on.

yeah they said it was so much for the front because of the labor and that it would take a lot before they could get to them, so i said go screw...

I just had them do the belts bc they're really bad, like 12k over and I dont have the time right now...the rest i'll take care of in my driveway in coming weeks...

Sleepy, I can get to them by just taking the wheel off and under there?

I took some new pics , i'll post them tomorrow because i'm lazy.
My coolant hose that connects to the "by-pass pipe #1"<-according to onlinemazda, has a small hole but it leaks like a mofo. I think the new hose cost like $3 bucks, but its a pain in the ass to reach since it starts behind the engine.
The problems with this car never end, but I love her regardless.

well called the body shop today and the manager talked a little sense into me. i've decided i'm going to go with more of a 03 look instead of a 03.5 look...in the front anyways. i'm keeping that badass stock spoiler that i love oh so dearly, but i'm going to forget about a front lip spoiler, seeing how i'll be saving myself about 300 towards my deductible. after a while i may be interested in doing the 03.5 fog conversion since i won't have to cut my non-existent lip at all to do it.
