OK im planning on buying new motor mounts for my car soon. But thing is I dont have the knowledge to do this. would a dealership be able to do this? Or should I just learn how to do it my self? Because I live right across the street from a auto hobby garage and they have every tool I need...

Which motor mount? The rear is super easy, don't need to support the motor and its only 2 bolts. Have some bigger sockets ready, 17mm and depending on the if the new motor mount comes with its own bolts you might need 19mm sockets. Also you will need a torque wrench to make sure you got it with the 70-85ft-lb range.

if you're also talking about side mounts, both are pretty easy as well.
pass side mount requires you to move power steering fluid and coolant reservoirs. once they're out of the way, loosen the two nuts and two bolts for pass side mount and replace. tq to 50-55 when putting new mount on. you probably won't have to support the engine for this one. (put the rear and tranny on first)

tranny side mount is under the battery, which is very easy to remove. once the battery box is out of the way, remove 17mm nuts and two 10mm head bolts, take off that piece. now remove the stock mount and replace with an upgraded mount. tq the bolt through the bushing at around 52-60, tq the nuts to 50, and the one bolt into the tranny at 45.

if you're specifically talking about the rear, that s*** is easy yo. get mounts!

I agree that rear is a piece of cake, provided you can get up on ramps/jackstands.

I would not recommend the tranny mount cavalierly, however. See my how-to as to why.

im planning on doing install for my inserts tomorrow. I forgot which inserts I bought. But to access this mount im going to be under the car which would make the the rear motor mount?

changing the passenger side mount, you will need to support the engine. The weight of the engine is putting force on the two nuts, plus once you get the new mount in, you have jack it up to get the studs into the hole all the way, then torque and drop the engine.

The CS inserts? those are a pain in the ass to do and not much of a noticeable difference, you'd be better off with replacing the entire motor mount with a TRZ or AWR. just my opinion though.

^^^ really? I thought the inserts were one of the easiest installs I've done in my life. Just pull out the stock mount, slap in the inserts, put the stock mount back in.

I did them for another member here, the mount didnt want to go back in, had to undo the exhaust hangers and it was a huge pain in the ass and my hands were bloody by the end. My TRZ was much easier. Could just be his car, he replaced the inserts with an AWR and the guy that did that said it was also a pain in the ass, much harder than when he did it on his car.
