What have you done to your MSP today?

I WOULD NOT drive the car for more than a couple seconds that way. The alt belt is also your water pump belt and you WILL over heat the engine. Trust me my belt did the same thing and about made the same mistake

oh it shot up fast haha its all replaced now i just found it odd that it would still start and all that like nothing was wrong

as long as theres juice in the battery itll run fine for a bit....

BTW its really really hard on the rotor in the alt to run the car with out the batt.

lucky thing it broke not to far from a buddys house, would driving through a parking lot to his house cause any problems?

well you can drive a car with out a battery but its hard because of the load that is put on the alt it can cause the rotor on the inside to become damaged.

if you snap the belt, there is no load on the alt... as it is not rotating... it puts a strain on the batt if you run it for more than a few minutes... as you are powering the ignition (as well as anything else thats on) from the battery without any sort of charging system.

coming off highway ramp to fast, hit curb, crossed 3 lanes, hit median, went over median, ended up on the wrong side of the road facing oncoming traffic....

i dont know for sure whats wrong but PLEASE dont tell me theres a chance at it being totalled

Man it really bepends on the damage, ive seen cars hit like that with hardley no damage but then ive seen some barley hit like that and the damage goes up into the cowl and the car be totaled so it really depends. but looking at your car it looks like alot of the damage is just to the suspension.

Have you jacked the car up and looked under it to get a good idea of whats scrwed? BTW a new lip is 345 from autocrafters(body shop here in jaxs)
