headlight question...pic included

im still finding things in and around this car that bewilders me and this one is no different.



it's like a flat spot in the reflector that looks like it couldn't reflect light from the halogen in any possible way. but it makes me think that there is another model that uses this flat area to put another small bulb for a DRL or something like some cars do. i think hondas use a different bulb for their DRLs, not like dodge that just sends half the voltage to their highbeams
 
I've never noticed that before but I just went outside and looked at my headlights and they are the same as yours. More than likely its for the Canadian cars and their crazy DRLs.
 
DRLS suck! I disabled those on my wife's Jetta.

thats flat spot is just begging for you to put citylights in there haha
 
This is a vestigial olfactory organ from the evolutionary process. The primary purpose is to detect other cars that are in heat. Thus, allowing our car to seek out and mount them.
