What have you done to your P5 today?

It's the drone, isn't it?

Actually what did it for me was realizing there was no easy way to get the P5 powerful. It's really hard for me to justify it when I have a car with a smaller motor making 50+ more hp at the wheels.

no, it's not the drone, while that does annoy Callie, it doesn't so much me.

I just don't like having a noisy slow car.

Plus what you just said. I find it pointless to ahve the performance engine parts on there now, cause all I do is sit in traffic every day.

I'll just go back to stock since i have zero gains for my application.

then use that money to do another retrofit. lol

Cause it is still a fun car, i just have come to a point where power mods are pointless

I'm not selling the car. Just making it more of a commuter

lets see:

1. Replaced dead drivers side break light
2. Used Blue Magic Headlamp Restoration on my Drivers Side Headlight - it looks brand new now! It was hazed pretty bad.

In all honesty then, why bother spending any money on the car at all?

Damn your logic Jon. I bought mine to be a daily driver as I knew I had a project car already. Unfortunately I loved the daily driver more. I'm glad I never spent a lot of money on it other than on creature comforts. I did put the Corksport axleback, Mazdaspeed B-specs and the AWR rear bar on it. The rest is more cosmetic than anything.

My point was that you can't justify spending money on power mods yet you'll dump money on appearance mods? No mods are really "needed" so the argument for one type or the other is really moot unless your building an autox car for a particular class.

+1 honestly tylor, no offense, but you need to take a step back and think about what you really want...it seems every week you change your damn mind.

i don't know, and it does change week to week.

I just know after being up where driving is fun, i lost all joy down here

Plus, after being fine in Callie's car all week, the extra oomph my car has just isn't worth it to me.

I'm fine with the 10 less hp

I think from here out, i really don't care about making the car faster. It's done performance wise.

I've got the TL retrofit going in next week (when the second light shows)

I'll be doing the Oznium LED domelights, then probably doing another retro for Callie's car ( or mine if i swap the TL's to hers)

Still thinking about whether to bother with the MSP lip or not. It's just sitting in the garage

I can understand your thinking Tylor. Since you sit all day in traffic for your commute you'd rather invest in the appearance mods to make the car your 'own' vs performance mods for stop and go driving.

I do have to say I'd be very interested in the Magnaflow should you decide to part out!

i'm 99% sure i'll be pulling the parts off.

I've got the stock header in the garage, my stock ECU is in texas though with MP3-Bronco awaiting him to boost

i do not have a stock exhaust to put back on is the only problem.

Jeff, road trip down and i'll install your header and midpipe and swap ya exhausts. lol

LOL, I just saw this. What I was getting at is whether you're spending money on appearance of cosmetic mods you're still spending money that is technically "not needed". I mean, it doesn't add value to the car (monetarily speaking) so technically every mod is "pointless". However, if you factor in joy of ownership then mods are definitely worthwhile. I currently love my P5 so any mod is technically worth-while to me.

My P5 is my daily driver (well mostly as I split my time 75/25 between my P5 and my truck) so I sit in traffic a lot. Just because it's a daily driver, it doesn't mean it can't be fun :)

but that's the thing, the car IS fun even bone stock(that's what i drove through the mountains all last week)

Don't get me wrong guys, I flipping love this car. Especially now with the new suspension, but, to me, the power mods are kinda pointless, so, i rather sell them off in favor of something else (ie another set of projectors)

Meet at the Dragon for a swap and then a run? lol

I don't have a 'back-up' exhaust either that I could ship to you as I need my car for DD duties.

When's the last time you were in PA? The weather is beautiful in April/May. ;)

You are right. Mods are in the eye of the modder. As long as the person driving it is happy is all that should matter.

And what do you mean every mod is "pointless"? (looks over shoulder for Tamz) hehe

Would be a good reason to go to the EECMM in June! (evil)

If only it wasn't so far from me....

but, then we wouldn't get to run teh dragon and take part in the Epic East Coast Mazda Meet
