MS3 Racing Beat Exhaust Review

Haha, nothing wrong with hanging out with the Civics, I myself came from an 07 Si. But like Fenrir said, Civic's do tend to attract the douchebags who like to rev their engines at every chance.

As for the Mugen Si, oh God, what a rip-off! Some on the 8th Civic site paid as much as $40,000 +/- for their Mugen.

I think a Mugen RR would be worth 30K maybe. The regular Mugen not so much. It is an exclusive car though for sure.

I think it's your area. Most people come here as transplants looking for jobs, so a lot of Civic Si owners seem to be post-grad professionals using their cars to putz around town. I rarely have ever gotten rev'd at.

It probably is my area, I'm in Northern Chicagoland. Buncha douchebag ricerboys here with Civics and Lancer OZRallys that think they're race car drivers and have the fastest thing on 4 wheels.

The sad fact is that the Mugen slower than the regular Si. The only area its better is on the track, and then, only by a minute amount.

I just thought it was totally absurd when Si owners were spending $800-$900 just on the Mugen axle-back exhaust.

We've actually got a Mugen conversion planned for my wife's car. Minus the huge wing and hideous front diffuser. It'll cost significantly less than a real Mugen and be the color she likes.

So the RB has broken in completely at this point. I think mine's gotten even quieter. I have almost no exhaust note... only intake/turbo whine. I like it and I don't. I'm considering getting a resonator removed from the Racing Beat. has anyone attempted this?

I went for a fun run yesterday with all the windows down for the first time in, oh, 5 months. I forgot how much the stock exhaust drones during lift-throttle with all of the windows open. :( Do you get this with the Racing Beat?

Man there is absolutely no drone with idle or lift of throttle with the RB. Some Honda dudes wanted to hear it Saturday so I revved it up for them. All we heard was intake/turbo/bpv. lol

There is a note from this exhaust, it's just extremely subtle. You'll hear it when getting on it with the windows down, but it won't even come close to overwhelming you. And people in other cars probably won't hear your exhaust at all.

I put my turbo xs downpipe on last night, I am completely catless with only one resonator left on the stock exhaust. It was soooooooooo worth the money and worth the 7 hours it took to put it on. Its hard to believe the hardest part of the install was getting the ****** heatshields off and finding the right tools...we had to create our own sockets with like 4 extensions and swivels and s***, lol. The 02 sensors and the turbo stud bolts came off easy. I haven't had any smoke yet. When I first turned it on, not a single puff of smoke came out.

Do that voodoo that you do so well.

Back on topic, has anyone deleted a resonator from the Racing Beat?

how about putting on a test pipe man? That would for sure get some more noise and a few ponies at the same time!
