ms3 noise when car is warm

i got a funny noise when the car is warn
it sounds like when u are high in rpms
it happens around 80 to 120km/h

it will only make this noise when its warm like 1/2 hour, if i down shift on the highway or if i get on it hard

its like when u wind the car up in 4th gear wining sound
it gets loader the faster u go form 80 to 100km
will only do it in gear

had it in but they keep telling me to watch it

like a whistle sound, gets loader when i get on the gas

when it all started it was like -34 out on the highway
going from edmonton to calgary any who
i put a weather from on the lower grill and a rag in the battery vent
got in to calgary and it made started to make that sound

i got a dashawk, car starter and stereo

I know these cars don't have enough power to do this but in the 05 Exped, when I'm gunning it after it has warmed up the transmission is spinning so fast that it makes a whining noise...sounds like a quiet supercharger. But this is in any gear that has the RPMs up.

This could be what you are hearing but it seems unlikely since the tranny is weaker and the engine is less torquey.

I would presume it's something wrong with the tranny but only time will tell that one.

No Prollem!!! I personally love that sound. Combine it with a 5.4L V8 @ say...4,500 RPM and it's about as good as a chick moaning! (godown)

But I don't think it's common...or normal...in an MS3.

your sound might just be the torque converter locking up when you're in high gear and no engine load. the fins in the converter will lock together to make a 1:1 ratio....just a guess though

I cant belive it its only got 15000 kilometers on it and tranny problem coing up

any of u guy feel something on ur foot when u push the clutch in
4th to 5th around 3500rpm

He's talking about turbo whine...its pretty normal for these cars...free up the turbo a little bit with an intake it will go away. They don't like having to suck so hard...
