Mazda Speed 3 Problems.

shouldnt have bought a turbo car or any car off the showroom floor with 500 miles on it.

mine had 130(which is alot to me) on it and i didnt want to buy a brand new car that had that much drive time on it but it was the only MGM on the lot. so i took the chance, havent had one prob in 6k miles

I got my 09 OTD with 16 miles on it. No problems to note and I'm at 3500 miles. I think you got a bad one. Someone really beat the hell out of it for 500 miles straight. The one here on our showroom was a 8.5 siliver and had 650ish miles and there were scratches in the paint from all the kids dragging their hands and toy cars along the paint. You can totally tell, because of the drifter marks..lol.

I would never buy off the showroom floor. Everyone and their mother has sat in it, played with it, s*** in it, and got bored waiting for their service and ****** with it.

lmao

I and most owners don't have any of those problems. That cars sounds like a recovery of some sort. With 500 miles, the car most likely experienced significant damage and was repaired by the dealer under the radar. Since you're a technician, you know you can inspect all parts to ensure the VIN ID's match up and are clearly marked. I would also open up a complaint with Mazda USA on the vehicle. You'll want that on record well before the warranty expiration.

At this point, it "might" make sense to get an extended warranty or sell the car. Good luck.

oh i did open a complain , from the first day it gave me s*** , they fill it with 87 octane an it ran like crap for like 2 refills an they couldnt even fill it all the way up. Im supposed to drop it off tomorrow an they coming tuesday i hope this is the end of my problems or someone is gonna get it (fight) lol

I'm having bushing noises, but that's because of the very cold weather (and that shouldn't be an excuse anyway, those bushings should be quiet no matter what). As for the headlight condensation, it's not normal; tons and tons of design goes into headlights, mainly so that you don't get condensation inside. They usually have a vent hole with a GoreTex patch that helps the moisture wick out. In any case, I'd get on the dealer for that one.

As for the rest, sounds like you're just having bad luck. You might not want to keep that one past warranty...

Im way to deep into this one the srt was a bit upside down wich added to the ms3 pretty much im stuck an i see my self doing my own repairs.(sad2)

sounds like the dealer didn't even maintain it or do any tsb work on it. Or their tech just sucks.

what weight oil you use? Some people (even the tech at the dealer) get confused in the manual and use 5w20.

I also heard a catch can, can fix the smoking issue.

I use 5 w 30 mobil one full synthetic since day 1 every 3k , an yes they are crappy technician, i took an as soon as i open it in 2nd gear it cut off all the intake pipes were loose an they all came appart.(loser)

I just turned over 50,000 miles on mine and the only problem i have is with the original mazdaspeed intake.

haha sorry i bailed english me dormia mucho , lol. Any ways i drop it off lets see what crap they are gonna give me now.

Ok, the headlights shouldn't be "normal" but you do live in Miami so that's borderline. The suspension bushings certainly not unless you lived in a colder climate. The stereo is a known issue for 08 mid years and there is a TSB for it out. When I called for mine to get looked at, they automatically said come in and we'll get you a new one because they were aware of the problem. Center caps, not normal. Camber, no clue. The shifter of course not normal probably ham fisted in the first 500 miles as it is a little bit flimsy of a design for the reverse lockout portion of it. The rear nozzle is probably just due to the fact that you're low on fluid. I found when mine got low for the first time after I purchased it my front ones worked but my rear ones didn't...refilled it completely full and all was well again.

seems like a bunch of speed3 owners have issues. I traded mine after all the squeeks rattles and serious lack of traction below 30 mph. While the speed3 is a fun car, it definately has some issues that other well performing cars dont

Folks who can't drive say this a lot.

In 8000 miles I wore out my fronts, and never launched the car once...nor did I really ever lose traction below 30mph...its called throttle control... and cornering hard...this cars actually pretty good at it...
