i have don a few searches on the FMIC intake combo that corksport offers, and i have not been able to find much, it seems only a coupla people have it here, and only a few in the MS6 section have it as well.
is there any reason why so few have it, it seems like an ideal thing to me, FMIC, and "ram-air" intake, plus room for upgraded BOV for about $1200.

for those that do have it, are there any long-term reviews?

Corksport is a decent product. Not top of the line but not cheap either. Not many speed 3 owners have them probably because there are like 4 or 5 FMIC brands available for the 3. Speed 6 only has cpe and corksport. COBB seems like a popular pick for speed 3 owners. If I had a speed 3 I would try to get the most cobb products I could. They make good products and you can follow the COBB AP flash tune maps down the road if you get tuned.

Personally I got the CPE front mount on my speed 6 because of their notorious quality and I got it for 900 bucks brand new. I didn't really like the ram air intake idea and I already had a CAI.

If your going to spend that type of cash might as well fork out an extra 100 bucks for the best brands. Thats just me though. Ive seen quite a few people happy with their corkies. All the FMIC's have room for an upgraded bov as far as i know. . .

i recently purchased a corksport FMIC. will give reviews once installed. i like this kit cause it comes with everything. inlet/intake/FMIC all for one cost. seems like a good trade for me.

also, i got a really sweet deal on it. haha.

ummm...all fmics give you room for an upgraded bpv/bov. IN fact you can even do it in the stock location omg!

:)

make sure you read my faq at the top of the forced induction page before you get a bov.

I have the corksport FMIC kit on my 07 ms3 (got it used for a good price) it was an easy install and everything fit very well, and it looks good in the car my main gripe with other kits is they leave the top of the engine open and I dont like the way that looks (I know that doesnt matter for performance), I would recomend this kit for someone who wants an easy to install decent quality bolt on kit. but thats just my 2cents.

thnx for the info hawk. i was alil concern about the difficulty of installing this. it's nice to know how it went with someone else that did this install b4.

i would most likey do this install myself. would u consider this a two man job?

i wish i was made of money. i already purchased the inlet b4 the FMIC became available. the price that was offered for the FMIC was too good to pass up. so i made the purchase.

My only knock about the kit is the fitment. you really have to mess with it to fit properly and keep from rubbing. Like litteraly spend a whole day just tinkering with the fitment.

i take it you sold your kit to logik?

if you have any knowledge of mechanics, its a easy one man job, with very little modfications if any. took a few hours but not a big deal by any means.

Yes, it is best to leave all clamps a little loose when installing and check that the shifter weight does not hit the pipes. Once fit looks good tighten all the clamps. I did not have any problems with unwanted contact anywhere else.
