What have you done to your P5 today?

w00t!

This is what happens when I'm at work on New Year's Eve. There's stuff to do but I'm not doing it!

I haven't been to work since the 23rd. I'm getting stir crazy. Thankfully, my buddy Jason called me up a few minutes ago to go to lunch with him and his wife. Pretty cool because I haven't seen them in a while, and it gets me out of the house...and into the snow storm. So... I'll be driving my P5 in the blizzard.

Just threw 3 different CELs on the way home, WTF?!

P0113 - IAT input too high
P0171 - Bank 1 System too lean
P0128 - Thermostat temp too cold

I understand P0171 but I have absolutely no idea on the other two. I haven't done anything to the car aside from adding coolant/oil for over two months and now today I get these. What gives?

^ One reason boosting scares me.
Don't let it. P0113 and P0128 seem to have nothing to do with turbocharging really. They both can be explained by a faulty IAT sensor apparently, but it's odd that it would suddenly die one day. The P0171 constantly haunts me. According to my wideband air/fuel gauge my air/fuel ratios are perfect except at cold startup so I don't understand why the P0171 is there. None of them really have an impact to the car's driveability.

I went ahead and rechecked the connection of the IAT sensor and cleaned it out with some MAF/electronics cleaner and then made sure it was plugged tightly back in place. It looks like the connection can just be pulled out (not locking into place) so perhaps it wiggled loose and caused the CELs. Well, I cleared the codes, only time will tell if they come back in which case I guess I'm buying a new IAT sensor.

erm..erm...no

i got my car back today thank you very much. lol

Besides, the PT was a rental. Beats riding my bike to work

Installed my K&N CAI yesterday and I have to say that there are noticible gains. Maybe not in horsepower, but for sure in the fun to drive column.

Edit: First post of 09 in this thread... woot!

Car is up on all corners. Just replaced all pads. Getting my rt615s put on tomorrow hopefully. Bought a nice rubber mallet to try and bang the slight bend in the lip of one of my rims out... but no bueno. Doesn't work that great. Might fool around with it later.

Replacing rear sway bar bushings... just have to find where I put them. Throwing in a new exhaust gasket between the mid and the cat back sections to eliminate slight exhaust leak. Might change my oil, but I want to warm the stuff up for a bit so it'll drain nice. Car is backed into the garage, so will I die from the fumes if I put a box fan by the exhaust with the door open? What else should I do while I'm under there?

Putting on cusco strut bar too. Anyone know what I have to do to remover cruise control? Can I leave all wiring in place and plug the vacuum lines? What to plug the lines with too... clamp them or what? Pics when done. Thanks!
