2006 MS6 GT
Hi, I am planning to buy a 2006 mazdaspeed 6 GT for $16,900 w/22,000 miles on it. My concern is, are there any mechnical issues, defects, recalls, etc. that the car has/have? I did some research and found out that some ms6 went thru multiple check engine lights and differential/tranny leaks. Plus are they reliable? Any tips/help would appreciate! Thanks

i would say the car is absolutely reliable. with broken parts the car still runs and performs (i drove around with a transfer case leak, chipped flywheel, bad front brakes, worn clutch, and completely worn out tires for many months without losing integrity from the car) and it was in 3 major accidents (none my fault $$$ hehe) and now with everything new and fixed, it drives faster than when i bought it at 53 miles. it is 32000 miles now. I would say have always around $3000 in a repair fund at all times, becuase until 31000miles i had never brought my car in for repairs. which makes me think you basically have around 40000 miles between tune ups costing you anything serious. I drive fast and abuse the car as much as i can, i dont pussyfoot around my paint job fixing scratches, this car is a beast and it gets into trouble just like me. Its reliable.

also, the car never once , during those accidents wasn't able to drive away, with a smashed front end, and a bent rear axel, the car turned on in one click and drove me 30 miles back home in the snow to my body shop.

Cool...Thanks for all the advices....One more question....Is there a differnce between the sport and gt model, besides the GT interior??

on the GT you get a handful of other features. check this: Vehicle Specs for the full list.

perfect example of what to weed out when seekin advice on forums...

not all of us can be so proud to single out people who give honest answers.

you think i'm an idiot? you're the one who wasted time paying attention to what i wrote, rather than answering the guys question. dont waste our Mazdaspeed6 space. its nice without a yellow option.
