MSCAI's werent recalled, they were just taken off the shelves. If you bought one they werent buying them back from you, you just couldnt get another one.

All boils down to dealerships and what/how they want to handle business. My dealership does my oil changes with my oil and filter and says nothing but compliments about the car. I also go in regularly. They know me and they know my car, no complaints. It would not surprise me one bit if I went in to another dealership that I have never been to and they wanted to "void" my warranty or hastle me about mods. Drop the factory air box back in and make them do the work to spite them...
