CPE Motor Mount

Anyone know the status on these parts?? I've had one back-ordered for months; Ken at PG keeps telling me CPE tells him they'll be ready any day now. (blah)

Well, a novel idea would be calling CP-E itself. Or if you go on their website, you can be put on a mailing list that'll inform you when it's in. Last I heard there was a bad batch of rubber for the bushing.

I put myself on the mailing list but never got any notification from CP-e. According to their site, the mount is still Out of Stock with a link to get an In-Stock Notification. However, out of the blue a little box from CP-e arrived at my door last week (via ProtegeGarage).

My mount has a black rubber bushing instead of the blue one that I've seen in others' pics. I don't see any posts or updates on either forum stating that the new mounts are ready for sale - has anyone else received theirs? Is it safe to assume this is the new revised mount? I was kind of expecting an email or post from CP-e stating 'well we fixed up whatever issues we were having and the mounts will be ready on such and such a date'. Guess I'm just a little surprised that the thing showed up randomly!

we shipped what was made available to us and i am told it will be january or later until they are back on the shelf. we do have other very capable alternatives in stock.

Ken, is it safe to assume that what you have shipped from your stock will not exhibit whatever problems these mounts originally had?

Obviously there is a different bushing in this mount (black vs. blue) so I'm hoping it is an updated more robust design. The bracket itself is a monster. Like 4 inches thick of solid billet...

i would be extremely disappointed and shocked if these broke. cp-e went to decent lengths to ensure that did not happen.

are any particulars available as to what went wrong and what measures were taken to repair? I do some rubber bushing development stuff at work so I'm kinda curious and interested in what was up.

...found something on MSF about poor durometer tolerancing/quality control on the part of the bushing supplier

How many CPE mounts did you get and shipped out? Like the OP, I ordered mine quite a few months ago (July I believe) and it doesn't look like SU has any idea when they'll be getting any of them in.

well, we didn't get what we initially had hoped/asked for. word i have from a good source is after christmas, end of january. might get lucky before then though. i've got every other mount option under the sun at your disposal if you want to try it.
