I'm startin to dig into my 03 p5 and have some questions

I have a shop that will do a full exhaust system with high flow cat for 300$ should I go this way or spend more on a prefabb its a good shop they have done performance systems for a while?

I want to do a performance chip what would be the best for NA in a good price range I found one on eBay real cheap might be junk
High Energy FI Kit made by raceinc technologies for 40$

So far I have obx header aem sri with ram air box and did the throttle body bypass

I would apreciate any feed back thanks

dont get an ebay chip. its not going to do s*** for your car.

the only options are the MP3 ecu, or going full standalone.

What sort of gain would I see from mp3 ecu. I have heard about doing that how easy is it to swap the price of the piggybacks and standalones are not worth it for a daily driver

which transmission do you have? The MP3 ECU won't work with the auto.

If you can get a shop to mandrel bend you an exhaust with some 2.25"-2.5" diameter stainless steel pipe with a resonator and a good muffler for $300, then I'd be all over it.

I'm sure its just aluminized steel pipe high flow cat and stainless muffler

And I have the semi auto sport trans

MP3 ECU won't work for you then. If you want noticable performance gains, go turbo. Pick up one of the MSP turbo kits in the "For Sale" section and keep the boost at 6 psi.

That's the best way to make power on our cars for the least amount of money. The auto is limited to how much power it can make though. PM Bazooka Joe, he's been running an turbo'd auto for I think 2 years now.

300$? jump on it, check the welds and everything, might be too good to be true but you never know

Newb looking for advice on mods

Hi all. New here, really enjoying the forum so far. I'm not really interested in doing a bunch of mods to my 03 P5 automatic (completely stock so far), but I wouldn't mind getting a little more power and some better handling. New springs seem like a good option for the handling, but what can you do for the engine? Don't really think I want to mess with a turbo. What about performance chips? I know the cheap ones are crap, what can I do?(dunno)

If you want the auto to make power, intake, header, and high flow exhaust, UDP, and light wieght pullies are about all you can do without boosting.

And those all combined won't get you THAT big a gain. It will be noticable, but not fast.

Intake and header are the best starter modifications. There is no reliable performance chip for our cars. Ebay chips are just a resistor modification that kills gas milage and does not work. MSP ECU if you have a manual.
