Hi, I've been reading the forums for a while but just now got around to joining. I don't have a MS3 yet, but tomorrow I plan on going in and talking some numbers on a new True Red sport fresh off the truck. My question is, what would be a target price I should shoot for? I was quoted $21,000 over the phone, but I'm sure they'll tag on a bunch of BS fees on top of that. What's a good deal? I might also be trading in my 2003 20th anniversary edition GTI. Once I get the Mazda, I'm sure I'll be here much more often. I can't wait.

I think $21,000 for the Sport trim is a good deal. I got mine (2008.5) a few months ago for $20,700 before fees. Considering the economy is shittier now, I'm sure you can match it or even better it. Good luck!

They had to stop making the Cosmic Blue Speeds before the Red Speeds coulds claim the title as fastest.

Yep, but CWP has now usurped TR. The reign didn't last long. (drive2)

white is the basis for all other colors. It's like plain yogurt. No flavor until you add the fruit. Take that as you wish.

Yeah 21,000 is a good price and True Red is really nice. Do you still have payments on your GTI? How many miles are on your GTI?

Turns out they won't give me that price after all. Bunch of lying aholes. It was a bloody battle at the dealership today and nobody came out a winner. I ended up walking out.

I still owe like $9600. it has about 85000 miles on it.

Yeah, I know how you feel. I also had a trade in around the same price, which added to the MS3 price. Then minus the price they are willing to buy your car from you.

Okay, update!!!! Today I picked up a used 2007 Black MS3 GT. Got it for $18,000. This car drives so much better than my GTI. It blows it away in every category. I just hope it's more reliable. Not planning anything major as far as mods. Just window tint, paint some things, maybe a better sub (if I can figure out how to wire it), and possibly an intake if it doesn't void the warranty. I'm happy.

With Mazda, window tint might void your warranty. Any intake can void your warranty, so take it off before going to a dealer for service. The short ram intakes are easier to install/uninstall. Corksport has an intake coming out that also includes a turbo inlet pipe. The price will be about what some are charging for just the turbo inlet pipe. If I did not already own the cobb intake I would be getting one.
