It's alive! Let's just say I suck at Megasquirt. A good, long phone call to KCBHIW and going through all the settings...the car now idles correctly. Kevin, if you are paying attention, I bought a timing light tonight and fixed the degree settings. I had to bump it down to 51 to line everything up, but it is working fine. I've got the car idling at 1,000rpm 13:1 AFR with just a slight misfire here and there.

I should be able to lean it out a little more, but it was getting dark and I was tired of messing with it. I'll do a little more with it next week.
With the trigger angle set at 51*, it sounds like the tooth count is off by 1 under the wheel decoder settings, but it shouldn't be anything to worry about as long as it's above 45*.
Where are you seeing mis-fires? Obviously, it's not while driving the car. Since there isn't a good tune set yet, that'll go away once you get your VE's and ignition advances dialed in.
The idle AFR can be corrected through the VE table. Furthermore, through the idle settings, you can idle it down further to about 800-850.

It just has a slight, random break-up in it at idle. It might not be "misfiring", just sounds like it. It doesn't affect it enough to make the MAP value or RPM fluctuate. If I had to guess it only does it every 500-600 engine cycles so it's not a specific failure anywhere. It could just be loading up a little.

Hey do you have one of those adapters (BSPT) to go from the oil pressure sender hole to just a standard pipe thread? I don't need a Tee. I can't find anything locally. I just need to thread in a braided line to my oil pressure sender.
After spending countless hours under the hood of one of these cars, this is very cool see! Good luck on the dyno!Got bored today waiting on parts to arrive so I modified my fan to work better. I'm using the stock BG aux. A/C fan as my main fan. The original setup for the fan was as a pusher style mounted in front of the radiator I wanted it to mount on the back of the radiator where the main cooling fan used to sit. It was fairly simple to flip it around, mount it, and reverse the wiring so the motor spun in the opposite direction. The main problem is that the fan sits about half an inch off the radiator surface and the blades of the fan are cut to be the most effecient when spinning as a pusher, not a puller. This means a less effective airflow movement for the fan and the air that it is pulling is mostly being sucked around the edges of the fan and not through the radiator. I simply riveted on a collar around the edge of the fan shroud that will take up the extra space. I'll put a piece of hose around the outer edge so that it is flush fit with the radiator face. This extra room also allowed me to take the fan blades off the motor and flip it upside down. Now the cut of the blades are facing in their most effective position with the motor reversed. Win, win for the air pull through the radiator.
Tomorrow the extended rear wheel studs should arrive. They will be a pretty simple install since I can switch them out without removing the rear spindles.

Nope. That one made my computer freeze as well. I think it is just my computer though. My computer has a problem of freezing when I click on links. Anybody know a fix for that?
