I am really torn between Forge or Turbo BPV...

Heard a lot of fitment issues with the Synchronic, or hoses just coming off. You can see your TMIC cover being pushed up because of the BPV. Careful your hoses arn't being pinched.

No fitment issues, just need a new recirculation tube. Lines are silicone and very durable, no pinching at all.

I bent the edge flap of the motor cover up so there would not be any ruubbing. I mostly run the car w/ out it!

i'll solve all your issues with the forge.... put in the red spring !! whalla no ping ! most people tell you it is too stiff but they are wrong. VERY few cars actually get compressor surge from it. if you dont trust me just try it and see. or you can stick with the blue spring, it wont hurt. i believe it is the best valve out there for this car, period... for any price.

if you are interested i have THE 1 AND ONLY second generation forge BPV out there right now. forge is making a slight revision to it before it is released because the hood clearance is rough. on a car with a stock motor mount it will hit under the hood, even with my TRZ mount it did at first. i rotated it on the flange a little to change the height it sits at and now it is fine.

i will sell it to the first person to give me $110...shipped. the valve will retail for $160. i have a full spring kit with it as well its all there. here is a pic of it.

So tru-boost...any sound bytes of the new Forge?

So did you sell that bad boy yet? I'd imagine so. If it was black I'd grab it, need to stay incognito if I mod anything.

I just got mine a week ago, blue with 2 shims sounds and works real good, its not as metallic sounding as I've heard without the 2 shims or on other cars. I went from peak 18psi and then not holding from 15 and bleeds down to 11psi quick, the forge peaks at 20psi and holds 14-15psi. For $150 you cant go wrong with forge, i cant see how the more expensive ones would do anything that much better.

just thought id throw in my $.02

Settled with the Forge BPV in black... I can really tell the difference with the car holding boost. Great mod for $145 shipped from S U. 2 minute install. Running the Blue spring with 2 shims.

i actually still have it. i dont have sound clips for it and i cant get them either. my inlet tube doesnt allow me to run recirc anymore.

ok so to my knowlage, the Forge come with springs? where do they go and do i need any special tool to put them in? i just bought an HKS one but hated the sound in recir so i'm looking into the Forge...

did you get a different one or it's just not $145 anymore?

The forge comes with different springs for different PSI, most people are running blue spring with 2 shims I think, i am. the yellow spring isnt strong enough and unless your running a MBC and bumping up the boost you probably wont need the red spring. The bpv has a cap you just unscrew and put in the desired shims first then spring. If you haggle with any of the online stores you should be able to work a deal, i got mine for 147.50 shipped.

Yep, screw the cap off insert the shims/spring, screw it back on and install... I just hand tightened that cap back on so that the recirc hose was in the right spot for install... It is pretty self expl;anatory when you see it and your stock one at the same time...
