I am wondering about how the MTX RE-Q works with a factory BOSE system. Has anyone hooked one up? If so, how are they attached and does it require hardwiring (cutting) the factory wires or is it PnP?

I have a generic PAC converter I was going to install under the passenger seat by hardwiring into the 5.25 sub woofer (I chuckle every time I call it that).

(band2) I wish I had the money for Rock Band II! but I keeping buying stuff for my car!

i have a re-q in my 08 gt. on the re-q sound site, you can download the directions under the 'support' tab, so you can see how it installs. it gets signal from tapping into your front right and front left high level outputs (the stock front speaker wires). it makes its own subwoofer preamp output set as well, either from using the front input signals you tapped, OR, you can tap it to your factory sub signal wires.

fortunately, the Bose headunit DOES offer a nice and flat response, so the bass restoration benefit that the re-q offers is not used here. that means, if you get it, put the bass restoration switch to "off", and tune you gains from there.

So if I was only adding an amp/sub combo and not messing with the doors on an 09 gt the re-q has no benefit over my navone LOC?

as far as i can tell, yes, your LOC should be just fine, especially that one. i have not attempted to apply a LOC without bass compensation to this Bose setup, just my re-q, but several very trustworthy sources have indicated to me that the output of our Bose HUs are very flat with no false rolloff.
