Upgrading Bose amp on a MS3

I have a 2007 MS3 GT. I've noticed it doesn't seem to have the bass "kick" that my Si had. What could I do to upgrade it? I don't want to have a seperate "box" amp, I just want to replace the stock amp with a better one. I'm a newbie when it comes to audio, so any help will be greatly appreciated!

Also, when I plug in my mp3 into the charging port and try to play music, it creates some irritating static noise. When I play it without charging it, no static. Is this a common issue, and is there an easy fix?

The speakers have "Bose" on them, maybe I don't have a Sport model? When I turn on the audio, it brings up "Bose Sound" or something close to that.

Edit: I just did a little research, I do in fact have a GT, just without the nav. So, any help regarding my first questions?

Why do you say he has a sport?
He has GT in his sig, GT in his thread, and he says his speakers have grilles that say Bose on them.
I think part of the problem is also the tiny bose sub as well... its like 5 inches in diameter or something, its a puny little thing.
Check out a Mazda3 stealthbox, just google that. It fits 8 inch subs, and there are tons of amps you could run with it to give it more of a punch. I know you said you dont want to have a separate "box' amp, but im not sure exactly what you mean. You can run the wires from the drive side seat, to under the passenger seat, take out the crappy stock sub, and run the wires to the back of the car where the stealthbox is so you dont lose any trunk space.

Thanks man, I looked it up and liked what I saw! Any ideas on what may be causing the static noise when I charge my mp3?

When he started the thread, he said he thought he had a Sport. It was only later that he edited his post.

He's right guys, I was told by the dealer that it was a Sport model, I haven't been into the Mazda arena that much to know better.

You're joking, right?

The bose setup is fine not non-audiophiles for the main speakers. The sub is whats seriously lacking. I ended up tapping off of the sub wiring under the passenger seat, to a LOC, back to a sub amp / sub woofer in the hatch. Sounds 100% better.

If you want something simple, you could go with something like a Basslink from infinity. Its an amp + sub built together.

You can purchase a noise isolator loop (something like that I would have to look up the one I bought) Basically, it should only whine when you are charging and playing. Try it without charging and see what it does. Let me know I will send the switch name when i check mine. Somebody here probably knows offhand.
BTW just ignore the douche bags that have no common sense. It is almost like they lack the brains to connect the dots. IOW they can't see the forest for the trees. Too hung up on details. LOL
I knew you meant the BLOSE system.

This is what you need to fix the static noise problem.

People like you are why I still use this forum. Keep up the good work.

People want help not sarcasm. I truly believe some people just surf around looking for where to put there sarcastic ass two cents which nullifys(sp?) anything they have to say. I do not want any help from a condesending BUTTHOLE. LOL
