What have you done to your P5 today?

i overheated because the master tech's that work at mazda failed to connect all the hoses on my new intake manifold

See thats what im thinking, its either gonna be on cold, normal, or HOT. What caused you to overheat?
I agree and this is why I haven't bought an aftermarket water temperature gauge. It may be inaccurate but as long as it sits slightly below halfway at full operating temperature I know everything is still normal. Oil temperature on the other hand... Man, I can't believe I didn't get one of those sooner.

So I went and took some photos of the car at a couple places that I felt would be pretty neat.

The two that I've had to replace on my own cars (Honda and VW) were stuck wide open.

Just ordered the Prosport Coolant Temp adapter so I can finally wire up my engine coolant gauge

As some of ya know, i got a sick deal on a Ractive header, but egr nipple was stripped out, so, i'm fixing it

The "custom" fixture so i made sure the cut was straight

The new insert test fitted. I gotta compare it to the stock intake manifold later tonight to make sure i got the angle right. If anyone has a stock manifold with the EGR nipple in the garge they can easily get a pic of, I WOULD GREATLY appreciate it!

Anyways, here's the peice test fitted. Not drilled out yet, obviously

Fail on the phone cam not having macro. I'll have the regular cam with me tomorrow

^^^Cool. So it looks like you got it fixed then. When are you installing the headers? Also what is that second larger hole in the headers for?

Not fixed yet. Gotta wait till i can either get a pic of someone else's egr nipple, someone that has a stocker in the garage maybe? I could use a pic!

the bigger hole is for the 02 sensor.

After i have something to compare the nipple to, i can silversolder it in place, then throw it on the car
