Carbon Fiber Spoiler Lip

Sweet I've never heard about speed tape :D thnx 4 teh info

Speed tape is also good for covering a mold, so that when you spray mold release on it it lets the carbon come free pretty easy...

Couldn't someone just rip these off if it's only held by double sided adhesive tape?

Yeah, that's true. I thought about trying to do screws or clips or something but I don't want to drill a hole in the stock spoiler or have a screw showing. Oh well, if someone wants my lip bad enough to come rip it off, I can they can. I used almost a whole roll of the 3M heavy duty tape, so I'd like to think it would be a little difficult to get off.

For serious Matilda!! Install that bad boy, and post up some pics for us.....

I keep meaning too, I'll try and remember when I get up tomorrow morning to snap some pictures.

With good double stick tape, it'd be very hard to rip it off. I don't imagine these things being a very popular thing to steal. They can only be used on Mazda3's.

Offtopic, but that's actually speed tape that he is using, not duct tape. Speed tape is made of aluminum and can withstand a ton of G's before coming loose. Runs for about $60 a roll.

Ahh speed tape. The things will do to cover up missing fasteners on aircraft...lol

i got my spoil lip today http://nextmod.com/index.php?target=products&product_id=29827 except it's carbon fiber. i was so freakin happy and i went out to walmart to get some double sided automotive 3m tape but they don't freakin have it!!! so i'm just asking where the hell can i buy some of those! lol if walmart doesn't have it... who does? oh and if anyone know a better way to put it on... please share it! lol thx

Did you get this on yet? I'd like to see pics. How's the quality?

Got some pictuars? I want to get one but I am afraid that it will stick up too far and look like poo.

Just took some, pics suck but you get the idea...

no, it's actually really good but I was too lazy to try and focus it or anything. It entirely too cold out for me.

Thank you for the pics. You came through, as promised. The wing looks pretty damn sick. I would love to see some daytime shots from a little further away.

the tape does work well. It's been holding on my front spoiler and rear wing spoiler for 10,000 miles. I don't want to say at what speed they've been holding those things on for....but I did explore the upper RPMs in 6th gear once. :)

As have I, the day I put it on. I think it's good to go, the thing isn't coming off!

I'm gonna wash my car in an hour in a bit and I'll take some then!

Is that spoiler just raw material, or is there paint and clear coat over it? I'd get one for my car if they could spray and match my black mica and clear coat it well.

I'm not a fan now that I've seen pics. It appears to just sit on the spoiler rather than extend from it. Perhaps it's just the angles of the pictures, but I don't like how it looks.

There is paint and clear on it, but I did it myself... It was just primer when I got it...
