MS6 to MS3

Hahah what's up? I actually joined up on this board back a few months ago, after gettin an MS6. But after some problems and concerns, along with just wanting a hatch...I went and traded my MS6 for a new gray MS3 Sport. And that's pretty much it.

I'll post up pics soon. Now we've got two MS3's in the garage.

Mostly aesthetic stuff...but there were problems with the clutch and engagement and real strange noises/vibrations that I was never really able to pinpoint. Honestly, nothing that couldn't be amended, but stuff like that just gave me incentive to just go ahead and get an MS3. Plus, the MS3 is just more fun to drive day-to-day, IMHO.

Well you could've gotten one for the same price or cheaper than the MS3 so what gives?

Yea, when I orders my speed3 they were trying to sell me an 07 ms6 for less than my speed3 was going to run me. It was like 23k OTD...

If I was looking for used I may have considered a speed6. There are a ton of them for sale with low miles, I suppose many of them were leased...

The one my dealership had was new. 07 MS6 S. Had less than 1200 miles on it. I would have gotten it but would have had 3 car payments then for a couple months and I knew it wouldnt be there by Oct. It wasnt so I kept the 3. I do like the speed6, I have driven one a couple of times for extended periods of time. There is a level of refinement to them that I appreciate. They do however lack the ferociousness (sp) of the mazdaspeed3. Love the AWD though!

I wanted the MS6 too, but it was a ton easier to get a good loan on a brand new MS3 than a used MS6, even if it was cheaper!

I do absolutely love my MS3 though.....

no. i couldnt

had a tight time constraint after i got rid of my jetta seeing as how i was carless.

so i wasnt gonna shop around for a used ms6 when all i did was hit a dealer and get the ms3

Clutch? It seemed more like an on/off switch!!

I wound up doing same thing a couple of months back.

Warranty was running out..Car was having all kinds of problems. Clutch, turbo, vvt, tranny grinding, leaking transfer seal, the list was very long.

The clutch was horrible..even after the TSB.

I am now rolling in a 8.5 Speed3 Sport. The clutch is better on this car.

Yeah I got my new 07 speed 6 and the dealer was pretty much throwing it at me. I went looking for the speed 3 but I got the speed 6 for cheaper (24k). The speed 3 loaded the way I wanted was 25K. Speed 3 may be faster but my 6 is more comfy .

same here. I was offered a new loaded MS6 GT for less than my MS3 sport.
