So you've spent all this money on the car and yet you still have those flames...just sayin...

Wow, how many times have I said it. I AM GETTING TO IT!! Sorry to snap at you a bit there but you are probably the 5,000'th person to say so. I have never liked the flames the day I bought the car, but I saw its potencial. It is a bit more involved to paint a whole door and fenders than just a bumper or sideskirts. That is why I am waiting to do it last, and paint ain't cheap so I have to wait a little while before I can start my next project for my wife and I are trying to get out of debt. For a while after I got the car I have been focusing more on performence and not looks until this year. Plus I am doing all the paint and body work my self on which the only time I get to do so is after my 40 hours a week at work and when I am not spending time with the fam. Thanks for the concern though, I really do appreciate your opinion(that is just a touchy subject). Dan

Your car is gonna be a damn good looking yellow p5, and I really don't like the yellow protys so that means a lot. haha.

Thanks for the encouragement man. As I am sure you know it is frustrating driving around the car with unfinished projects.

Oh mos def I kno how you feel!

I've been driving around with missing parts and/or primed bumpers for the last 4 months. haha. It's a lot better now but still not done, I have to fix some small gaps and buy a new windshield since I have a massive crack. Some guys on here tried to bust me down for not being complete and not waiting, such as have primed bumpers instead of getting them painted then install, but I say **** them man, I like to be able to see the progress of the car day after day so keep it going bro, you'll be done in no time.

Yah, most of the time I don't even care about what people think about my car unless I am bashed with the same comment over and over. My car is a daily driver and most projects cant be done in one day so I have to drive it like it is. Aint no thang though. Thanks man

Got the rear bumper fixed, sanded, and primed today. Should have it painted and reinstalled this week. I am also painting the valence part of the bumper black, and if I have time finish sanding and priming the roof. I am going to start my two tone paint job when painting the roof:

Repainting the whole rear bumper my self right now. Got a high end paint gun to replace my cheap crappy one and it works great! Also after I repaint the whole thing I am painting th rear valence black. She should be done and back on the car by the end of the day tomorrow

Can't wait for the pics! When are you gonna throw the bc2 sides on?

The side skirts will be on as soon as I can find someone to help me install them. Gotta have someone hold them in the right spot for me while I drill new holes in each end for the bolts to go through

You don't have friendly neighbors or roommates? =]

Yah, I do. I just have not made the time yet. It is going to take some time to do the job for I have to take all four wheels off so I can get the drill into the wheel wells. Most of my time lately has been spent on my rear bumper. Man it is lookin good again. Just have one more coat to apply then I am golden.

Just got the last coat of paint on the rear bumper. Once that drys I am going to tape off the bumper and paint the valence black. If everything drys quick enough I should have the bumper back on the car today.

I would let it sit for a day before installing it. You don't want to mess up the paint just because you were rushing to get it on

Yah, that is true. That is why I said if everything dry's ok I will install it. Which it probably won't dry all the way today since it is only about 60 degrees here today

yea, regardless of temperature, paint needs time to cure.

Yah actually my last coat I painted was only on a small portion of the bumper. So it is dry enough now to tape off and paint the valence. So I am doing that now.

I was able to paint the rear valence yesterday:

Pics don't do it justice, mostly cause there crappy cell phone pics. lol

Got the bumper back on today. Before anyone says it I know the paint does not match compaired to the original faded paint. The rest of the car is really dirty plus of coarse the rest of the car is pretty faded like I said. I am working on this car piece by piece as I can afford it but next time I paint anything on the car it will be the whole body. Just got to save up for the paint. So here is a quick pic I snapped before it got dark out. It was pretty dark already so it is not the greatest of pics but just wanted to give you guys(the small few who are actually checkin out this thread) an update on my progress. Will get better pics later.
