Project MS307 aka ROXY

men let me tell u I was looking into geting the cobb fmic but the corcksport looks sick men everytime i see it i like it more and more

Lemme tell you my FMIC story. Originally, I had wanted the Corksport kit, but at the time they had everything on backorder. I waited a month or so and saw the CPE kit. Hmmmm.... I was just about to order it till i found out the core was off-center. Im a very anal person about asthetics so something like that would drive me nuts. soooo... I waited 2 more months, then I saw that COBB was realeasing and I prepaid Ken at PG for the COBB fmic, I have always loved COBB products. Well.... turns out that COBB didnt make enough, then backordered the damn thing, I waited another month, then it was pushed back another month, and I pre-paid for the first batch !!! I like COBB, but Im not on their nuts to get their products, so I said, **** that, Im not waiting again. I talked to Ken at PG if the Corksport was back in stock, and yes it was! ALSO, I was able to get the kit for the same price I payed for the COBB !! (cool)(cool)(cool)

The Corksport core is the same size as the COBB core, actually its 1 square inch larger I believe.

If you were to get a FMIC, an intake, and an inlet pipe separate, it would cost you more than the CS kit anyways. If being dedicated to 1 brand is your thing, go fo it ! But I choose no sides and Im not gonna limit myself to one companies offerings, just my 0.02.

Hebrew, BPV is better for our car, it runs like s*** in VTA. The air that goes through our intake tract through the maf housing is measured, so releasing measured air will lead to running rich, backfire, and hesitation. there is no tuning solution right now for a BOV on our cars. If you want a BOV, then its just for sounds. IMO If you just want it for sound its kind of ricer.

is the section where the maf is housed, do they have any air diverter or anything, or does it go straight through the piping? cuz i've heard are mafs are really sensitive and doesn't like it if their is nothing to separate the air path.

Im not sure what youre asking, but the air goes straight through the the pipe, through the maf sensor.

The air straighteners I believe go inbetween the filter and your first section of pipe.... at least thats where mine is built in on my cobb sri. people have seen not necessarily more power, but at least more consistent power with these. true the maf is sensitive, and this helps to keep the air stream constant and directed toward the maf for more consistent readings. hope that helped

yeah, i couldn't really describe it, i had the cobb intake but sold it, i might buy one when i make my own intake and FMIC and just use the one part for the maf housing so my maf doesn't get messed up... anyway enough thread jacking

I'm coin on a limb here but I doubt you need a straightened for this kit cause air is being pushed in through the vents, not just sucked in through a tube. IDK, but I haven't had by cels or funny A/f ratios, just consistent 12s and 11-10 during wot.

What's the difference for setting a BPV up in recirc? And on the Corksport FMIC it has the option for a BOV flange would i want to leave that as stock if I were to buy that?

bpv are already in recirculation mode by design. instead of venting into the atmosphere, it goes back through the recirculation tube. bov are vta (vent to atmosphere) but can be run back into the recirculation tube, as I have done.

the forged BPV fits the stock fitting right?

I ****** love the ride man. Perfect wheel choice, excellent color accents all around. The thing just looks mean.
Judging from the pics looks like you are in So Cal??

6K isn't all that bad actually, I was think closer to like 10.. Hell I went to europe for three weeks this summer and spent 7K, 4K on beer alone :P.. I could had a sick ass ride like you if I didnt :P

Lol! Amen to that, I would have done the same. =P

First of all, sick ride man. Love it. My question is, are you liking the HKS Exhaust? I was thinking of buying it but I am still unsure. D=

Nice ride, you don't get in trouble in cali for all the emissions?

Not yet... I have private plates FTW...

714MS3, I live in Norcal (usa)

Gabriel, I LOOOVE my HKS exhaust... My neighbor has an STI, and he's running catless. he tells me MY ride sounds mean as hell!! Very burbly and throaty, even with the stock DP and RP. Its pretty quiet during idle. But its loud as hell at WOT (nailbyt)

dude Jake I don't want to see Roxy anymore! Everytime I see her I know I will never be able to catch up, especially when we have the same color and same rims =p

btw, any pictures of the inside? any mod plans?
