Turbo replaced on speed6

I just want to share this to the Mazda Community.
First I went to the dealer where I bought my spee6 complaining about smoke coming out on the exhaust, they told me that it's just a moisture sitting in the exhaust pipe that was causing to smoke, so I just went home no biggie and then a week goes on, starting to smoke more often, so I brought it to a different dealer for a second oppinion and they find out that there's an oil leak from the turbo seal. I just got my car back today, and they replaced the turbo under warranty. So hopefully that will fix the smoking issue.

Quite a timing! Mine started the white smoke issue yesterday! There was a LOT of smoke... By the way, have you noticed any difference, performance wise, after the car started smoking? Cause I noticed a little performance degradation recently but I've been wondering if it was all in my head, or just getting used to the car, or not.

take out you test pipe and replace it with a high flow cat, it will save your turbo seals, everyone I know who have a test pipe has blown their seals.

Well I guess you don't know me, but I have ~12k miles on mine with a full TBE and no smoke or seal issues....

The issue is not the test pipe, the issue is the turbo itself. With a test pipe, the smoke becomes noticeable because the exhaust is more free flowing. Don't get it twisted.

I guess I was one of the unlucky ones. Mine started smoking badly once I changed to a downpipe with high flow cat. Hopefully that problem goes away when I finally get my GT28 turbo installed.
