Really? Hmm.

Searching autotrader and finding 98's with 140K miles fully loaded for $2300 now.

Maybe that's why nobody has even come by to look at it in a week. lol


There's actually a miata in good shape for $2000.

And, i can find newer 2nd gen proteges cheaper, but good lord they're ugly!

Hmmm....I'll see if we can't talk him down as i can get a 98 with 140K miles with power everything for $2300(but 2nd gen's are just ugly to me)
 
He's got $2000 in cash I think, and considering I CAN get newer with more options for cheaper, we'll see what his bottom price is. If it is too high, we walk and coninue to seach

I don't wanna insult the guy but him asking more for a 92 than i can get a 98 for is kinda insulting in itself.

EDIT_ compared to the 2nd gen proteges listed that 92 is A GEM for the condition it's listed in. I also spoke to the guy. He's second owner, service technician at a local garage, so, he's kept up with it. Interior is in great shape, engine doesn't smoke or leak any fluids, i dunno.

Gonna look at it tonight. Maybe offer $2000 if it's in good shape.

Only problem is the "Seatbelt not clicked" ding ding ding happens randomly. He priced the new part from Mazda at $290.

I'm sure i can find one at a junkyard somewhere, or oninemazdaparts

I'm thining dude's protege here is a DX cause it's all manaul.
 
Well, manual means less components to break?

Too bad your timing is a little off and we aren't closer...I helped Tams grandmother sell her 1994 not too long ago. IIRC she got $1200 or $1400.
 
DOH! Yeah, manual is cheaper and easier to fix as well, but he wants fancy windows and door locks. lol

Either way, we're gonna go check it out tonight and see what it looks like. Pics will be taken. no worries
