Not knowing, been driving without air filter, how screwed up is my car?

Ok, I have an INJEN CAI, that I clean and maintain regularly, but this time I went to check it and oil it, and the air filter cone had fallen off and was sittingaround at the bottom of the black plastic gaurd. The last time I checked it was 10,000 miles ago, It could of fallen off 1 mile ago or 10,000 miles ago. What is the potential damage to my car without that air filter in place? All my black plastic tire shields and undershields are in place so I dont think that any rocks or anything big got up in there, but what should I be worried about?

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

so you haven't changed your oil in like 10k miles either? try to change it more often than that.

If the car is still running good, then i don't think you have anything to worry about.

I change the oil every 5,000 miles (I use mobile 1 synthetic)
but I don't always check the CAI everytime (I will in the future now)

same thing happened to me i drove without one for about 3 weeks.....

it didnt seem to mess up anything...mine fell off while driving and i ran it over... i thought it was a piece of something on the road till about 3 weeks later when i looked and didnt see a filter
