I got SWIRLS

Thanks for the nice link! :D Lots of good info there. I'll definitely be cleaning out my 5 gal. buckets to use instead of the 2.5's (and filling them with water first, then car wash solution properly measured) and picking up a couple GritGuards for them. And I must pick up some better microfiber towels.. the ones I have left some lint behind last time I used them (and not only did I wash them before first use, I always wash them out after every use). Any suggestions?

ThrillRide: That is exactly what I was trying to say but obviously not very well. I had put "swirls" in quotes to indicate that their circular appearance is an largely an illusion -- they're actually linear and in all directions, but because of the way light reflects off of them they appear circular. It was a bit obtuse of me.. sorry for the confusion. In my defense it was...1:30am.. yeesh.. I gotta stop staying up so late.. (yawn) One last, tho'.. you mentioned no-rinse formulated wash.. Do you actually mean no rinsing or is it that it just won't leave water spots? Either way, what product is it specifically? As it is I use the flooding technique to minimize the amount of water that has to be dried up, but if I didn't have to even do that I'd be very interested to try it out. :D

(yawn) dagnabbit.. 'night. (snore)

Its called optimum no rinse (ONR)

basically you can wash an entire car with about 1 and 1/2 to 2 gallons of water.
i use 2 full capfulls (liberal capfulls) to that water ratio.

takes about 1 and 1/2 to wash my p5.

Its just like a regular car wash. There is no hose pre rinse, and the solution doesnt need to be rinsed off. Just wiped on with your wash media (mitts, grout sponges, etc) and dried off with a waffle weave.

My process uses the 2 bucket method as well. ONR basically encapsulates the dirt safely, and is allowed to be wiped off while keeping marring to a minimum.

ONR is a great product. It can be diluted to clay lube, quick detailer, interior cleaner, pad conditioner etc. One of my favorite uses is as a glass cleaner. I have streak free windows when diluted to 1 liberal capful to 32oz. I spray on, wipe with one MF, and dry with another.

I highly recommend this product

nice, the autopia especially for someone like me who is new to extreme body care. She certainly is worth it thanks

I use Optimum No Rinse and it's the best... I wouldn't recommend anything else.. worth all the money you pay.

Thankfully here in Canada, at the Canadian Tire you can get wash buckets with grit guards on the bottom for $20, made by a company called Simoniz

They are great for car washing and if any of you guys are up north you should pick up two of these!

Waxed my car for the first time earlier tonight! Unfortunately it was getting dark so I have no idea how it looks. Guess we'll see how I did in the morning...
