I've been looking and can't find what I've been wanting... Does anyone have pics (high res) of the stock down pipe and heat shield? I'm looking for all of the bolts that I will need to remove during the TXS downpipe install, just to get a better feel for what I'm getting myself into. All I can find is low res and it doesn't show the bolt hole side of the stock dp.

If anyone has any, or could go take a couple, Thanks!!!

Also, does the upper O2 need to come out before the heat shield will come off to reviel the bolts underneath it?

I actually didn't take off my heat shields from my stock dp when I took mine off. I just took off the 2 wire hangers for the O2 sensor wires. Also, it's best to remover the upper O2 before you remove anything with/on the dp. Unplug it. Pull up the wire. Then upscrew the sensor. Get it out of the way. If you are worried about anything falling into the O2 hole, just plug it off with duck tape or something.

Anyways, removing the heat shields would probably make it easier though if you can do it. I tried. But couldn't. I'll have to look around to see if I have any pics. I'm not sure if it's listed in the Service Manual. But I can look there as well.

i didnt remove any of the heat shielding on the cats only the top 2 heatshields that way you can get to the turbo flange iff you still need pics i can try anfg get some tomarow

you guys are lucky to have downpipes, s***'s illegal here in CA, would pretty much not be able to do it, since cops love to give modified exhaust tickets. Then the dlr would probably void the warranty here. Would love one tho!

not leagal anywhere but thats another story

knowing my luck i would get an exhaust ticket have to pay money to get the downpipe off and go to the referee sign it off and then go pay money to put it back on. or i would have to go to the dealership for work and they would see it and void the warranty. I have bad luck with things like that so I'm kind of SOL for the downpipe. On my 350Z the dealerships are mod friendsly and don't screw with people. Ive seen guys with aftermarket supercharger or twin turbo kits roll to the dealer and get service to the front of the line. They love modded cars at Nissan it seems

Yeah, the top heatshield is the one I want pics of. If I can get the shield off, those top stock DP bolts should be a cake walk.

I think my extended warrenty stuff is going to work out for me. Because the beginning of next year I'll be in cali for 5-6 years til I move back out east. And my extended warrenty will be over by then and I'm gonna mod the hell outta my car. I look forward to that day :)
