k, for all the people with ms3 and have a turbo timer.

I really want a turbo timer but i just want to clear up some questions i have.

I heard people putting tt on the ms3 would not be able to lock their doors before the engine shuts off. Is this true on the ms3 or just certain brand tt?

Must be certain brands as I don't have this issue.

it was cheap no name brand off ebay. like $25 shipped. connects to the ebrake handle, fits in the cubby, works like a charm, no crackhead door lock issues for me

go on ebay and ltype in turbo timer and look for a little silver box like that one and you'll be satusfied, easy hookup and no problems at all. Had it on for over a month now

y not .. lol

people say if this car needed a turbo timer, it would have came with one.

I myself haven't seen any stock turbo car come with a turbo timer, but i could be wrong. Well what i believe is that y would the manufacturer include a tt when they can sell you a new turbo down the line.

any turbo car needs a cool down period. Just to be safe i think ill invest in a tt for the sake of the bearings or bushing which ever our turbo uses and also so the oil doesn't get cooked and clogs the lines.

preach it brother, tell that guy why it's needed! It is a good cheap investment that can save a lot of money down the road.

tho i think the reason for stock cars not coming with them, even high end cars like mercedes turbocharged cars is because if they park the car in their garage or a parkign structure and the car is running, it would obviously fill the agrage with fumes and be bad. Could be a reason they don't have it as it could cause lawsuits for stupid people who are impatient and don't leave the door open, or their dog/cat lives in the garage and dies of the fumes and then some rich ass fool sues for it. wheewwww man I go off on a limb like this all the time, makes me feel good! Anyways, get the tt dude, easy install and works like a charm. Best prices anywhere is ebay, don't let some vendor/seller try to say otherwise!

I believe the mini uses an electric oil pump to allow the oil to circulate till the turbo is below a certain temperature

Ive had mine for a couple of month now and I love it, it's the Blitz Dual TT which is also a boost gauge.

Blitz dtt is the one i was looking at as well. Seems like a bargain, considering it comes with a boost gauge built in.

haha those are sexy, its too bad they read in metric! Would have to convert in your head as the guage reads. Otherwise its a dope dope dope unit!

I think you are referring to GT models with the smart keyless... they lock by themself after 5seconds away from teh car.

Those with the TT, the car never locks itself, you must arm the car after it shuts off, correct?

I personally think that all turbo cars should at least not get abused in the last minute or so of driving... when I park my car, I drive very slowly down my own road or into my work. If I just got into boost, I'll let it idle for at least 15 or 20 seconds. But a turbo timer is a good idea, its not going to hurt anything. Most of these new turbos are water cooled anyways, that's why a lot of the custom turbo guys run turbo timers.

that is correct and I try to do the same, its just that I am always late for work so I'm always boosting to get there faster and I can't really sit in my car for another 30-40 seconds....

Not to mention that in many jurisdictions, it is illegal to leave a running vehicle unattended.
