"S" plan pricing the same as invoice?

I have had coversations with a lot of people claiming S plan pricing on their speeds but no one has shown me an invoice price out the door. I talk to Mazda financial several times a year (we work with them) and asked before and have asked recently and they dont give employee discounting on Speeds to date. I also had my S plan numbers on my financing just in case and it did nothing. Dont get me wrong, some where people may be showing a savings or dealerships are giving one in fear you will not buy if you cant get a discount with your S plan numbers, I would if I owned a dealership.
Can someone show us their paper work with the S plan discount and what it saved? You should be able to see MSRP, - Splan discounting...

The deal I got was 22,663 which ended up being 23,411 OTD from Wayne Mazda in NJ. I dealt with them on the phone and only went in to pay and pick-up. Very good experience with them!
The lady also said that this deal was better than what they could offer family (i am assuming this is s-plan) so maybe try your luck at negotiating a good deal and if that fails fall back on the s-plan pricing

Nobody will be able to show you "invoice price out the door" because thats NOT what S-plan pricing is.

From Bad Wolf's post quoting MazdaUSA's site:
* S-plan price is equal to total dealer invoice including transportation fees and any assessment fees; state and/or local.
So it's invoice plus $650 destination plus assessment fees (advertising fees, etc) plus TT&L.

I've seen you mention Employee pricing a couple of times. S-plan pricing IS NOT employee pricing. They are 2 different things. S-plan is part of the Ford Recognition plan meaning companies that do work with/for Ford. The company I work for buys fleet vehicles from them, I don't work for Ford/Mazda/etc. I'm not even in the vehicle related field. Ford Employee pricing (A-plan, not sure what Mazda's is called) is even a bigger discount over X-plan (Ford)/ S-plan (Mazda).

I don't have the exact #'s in front of me but I paid $200-300 over invoice for my Speed3.

Mazda does not acknowledge A plan, it is S plan, they are essentially the same as the two discounts are the same with Mazda. If you walk into Mazda with A plan numbers like I do/did, it figures to be S plan pricing. A plan is well below invoice and Mazda/Volvo do not honnor those figures.

Oh, and if you are paying the dealership for their advertising fees... Shame on you. I always see that $180 on the paperwork and just tell them no deal, I am not paying them for something that did not bring me in. I can not stand that they do that now. I understand the industry and think they need to recoup that money some how but NO WAY have they spent $180 marketing me.

I'm happy with the price I got. It's better than $25k + tax. Plus I got my winter floor mats and wheel locks free, so that's extras I would have had to pay for that were free.

The dealer showed me the invoice pricing on my speed before I bought the car. I got the car a few hundered bucks under invoice. If you read up on the Ford Partner Program they have to show you invoice pricing on the car before anything elese is done when you present them with your S-Plan pin.

All though I never find it very difficult to get any car for invoice price if you do your homework before going to a dealer.

The dealer has the right to accept or deny S plan pricing for the MS3. I had to pull teeth to get them to accept it. I got a GT with Nav so they knew they would have a hard time selling it for full retail as most people don't want Nav. I really didn't care as long as it was a CWP GT.

S plan pricing

I just bought a 2008.5 Mazdaspeed 3, (Grand Touring package) last week for the "S plan" invoice price.

Since the Speed versions do not qualify for S plan pricing, you have to convince the dealership to give you that pricing. In today's market it's very easy. You will likely find more Mazdaspeed 3s on the lots than you will the regular Mazda 3s these days because of the high fuel prices and the relatively poor gas mileage of the Speed 3.

Anyway, here is how I got the price I wanted:

I found three dealerships that all had Speed 3s on their lots. I called each one and explained that I was going to be searching for a MSP3 on Friday and I see that there are 3 dealerships that have the car I am looking for but I will not have time to visit all 3 dealerships. One of the dealerships has offered to sell me a MSP3 for the S plan (invoice) price...can you offer same deal? I explained that I was trying to narrow my search and 2 of the 3 dealereships offered to give me an S plan price.

The invoice price, including the destination charges was $23,344. MSRP was $24,690.

The dealership generally won't haggle anymore if they give you the S plan price, but I was able to get some extras included (cargo net, floor mats, 3 sets of keys, JDM straw). :)

I paid 22525 for my GT MS3, I got pearl paint, and sat radio for free. That was the final price before taxes.

I swear to God people, if one more person says "...since Speed3's do not qualify for S-Plan", i'm going to rip someone's ******* head off.

Go on that website and tell me S-plan doesn't qualify one more time...

For the record, 2007 Mazdaspeed 3's DID NOT QUALIFY FOR S-PLAN. Mazda changed that during the earlier part of 2008, probably around March 2008. If your dealer tells you it does not qualify, they're lieing and don't want to do the homework. Call Friend @ Mazda and ask them, and they will call the dealership for you and tell them it does qualify for it.

Thanks. I am going to copy and paste that link to the dealership that lied to me multiple times (including saying the Speed3 was MOST DEFINITELY NOT on the S-Plan pricing). They had their own agenda and wanted to sell me anything BUT a Speed3.

Sounds like some great deals. However, I wonder how many of you paid an adv fee or some crazy dealer handling charge on top of S-plan pricing. Mazda supplier pricing does not limit the dealer handling fee. Interestingly, Ford brand and GM do limit this price ($75 I think).

Yeah that's a good point to consider whenever pursuing this pricing option. My particular dealer charges only tax (6.25%) and state licensing fees ($180). Overall, it's not too bad (no BS "documentation fees" etc).

EDIT: I wanted to add a side note. Has anyone been able to get their dealer to go below S-Price numbers? Mine said they would knock off $1000 from the S-Plan price but only if I took their finance (>9.5%) versus the one I am approved for through my credit union (5.5%). This worked out to over $3000 extra just in interest, which was a terrible deal.

So I was just curious if anyone had luck with this? Invoice on the speed3 is hard enough to get without S-Plan, so going below that would probably be like pulling teeth.

You sir, are right. I was actually looking at the speed 3 in early march and was very disappointed that it wasn't included in the s-plan. I kept checking over and over, pretty much every day.

Then sometime in late march, around the 27-28th i think, it changed. It then said that it was included. I bought it on March 30th!
