All weather floor mats

I just bought a Mazdaspeed 3 a week ago. I'm in Canada and where I live we tend to get a lot of snow during the winter, so I'm thinking of buying the Mazda all weather floor mats. Do the Speed3 all weather mats come with the Speed 3 logo on them, or do they use the Mazda 3 logo, like these? And would those mats fit a Speed3?

Would it be cheaper to order the mats off of eBay rather than getting them from the dealer?

ne1 have picks of them? i really like how the MS3 mats have the rubber part for you heels -- is there ne similar type of smoother rubber area (for your heels) on the all weather mats?

just buy some $10 rubber mats from your local auto parts store and cover up your existing mat.... mats to protect mats

if I do that, then they likely won't fit as nicely and then the areas that arent covered by the mats will get dirty -- which sort of defeats the purpose of the all weather mats (easy cleaning).

also -- is it customary 2 put the all weathers on top of the regular carpeted mats or r u supposed to take out the carpeted ones and actually replace them w/ the all weathers?

I would just get the Mazda3 ones. Who the heck is going to see them? I take the carpet ones out and put the rubber ones in. They're too thick to double up like that.

I've got the cheapos from Autozone in my car. I had to do some trimming and actually used the rears (nobody ever sit back there) to fill in the spaces it neglected to cover... all in all, the mat's protected.

hmmm -- i remember reading somewhere about the all weather floor mats being recalled for the speed 3...any1 know what the deal with that is?

I wouldn't recommend putting a mat on top of a mat. I have the all weather mats and it specifically states not to do this on the back side of them.

Yeah, I've looked but haven't found any "speed3" mats. I plan to get the all weather ones and just put the carpeted ones in when I go to meets and what not.

Weather Tech makes mats (no "Speed 3" logo, though). They're a bit pricey, but they'll fit very well.

My dealer told me not to use the rubber mats with the MS3 because the clutch and gas pedal were getting stuck in the rubber. That could be one of those stories that mechanics seem to have a endless supply of though.

Not to burst your bubble, but the all weather mats trap a lot of dirt, but it doesn't trap all of it. You'll still find dirt, pebbles, stuff-your-shoes-pick-up, etc., between the mats and your carpet, unless you take your shoes off everytime you enter the car and bag them.

I'd go with the Weathertech, if I were to do it all over again. I believe they are designed with a lip which better contains your shoe dirt.

I had the Brookstone battery operated vacuum to keep my carpets clean, but since it broke, I've had to shop vac it. And I hate corded appliances/electronics which work best cordless. Would you use a corded phone? Sorry, got side tracked. But I do have the extended warranty on the Brookstone, I just haven't got around to claiming it yet.

I haven't had any problems with the actual pedals getting stuck but out of every single pair of shoes I own I can only wear my pumas when I drive now. Any other shoe will get stuck in the groove of the mat, it really messed me up the first day I had them in.
