Fuel Cap Broken!!!! need ur advice

Hey man, the dealer should replace it for free. I broke mine the 2nd day I got the car when I went to go get gas. It was weird how it broke too. I did the usually, pop the fuel door, turned it gentle until it did that certain pop and it didn't. I kept redoing it and it finally just broke off so the next morning I went to the dealer and they said the warranty will take care of it.

Why would you have let them drive it? I would have said no way!

Also, gas will not come out of your tank. There are far more safety measures inside that tank to stop syphoning that also stops fuel leakages of that nature.

Well it was to late to stop him, the driver took off quick and beside i tought he was going around and bring my car inside the shop. But i realize the shop is infront of me! So i was like??? where the hell is he going??? I decide to step out and check him out... all i heard is freakin BOV sighs... So i ask the The service supervisor is it really necessary to go drive my car thats far when the only problem is FUEL CAP???!!! and the shop is infront of us???!!! He said... " um um its a standard procedure to check etc.." IM LIKE SURE SURE BS!!!! ill get even with them when i get the survey (evil)(flame)

make sure you call Mazda NA Operations and tell them everything that happened, from the beginning with the guy breaking the cap, right down to the service managers response to the "test drive." work up a good relationship with Mazda NA, and dont rely on trying with the dealer. Mazda will work to make you a happy customer - the dealer will try to get as much out of you as possible.

so i was able to get my fuel cap replace for free... thank god for that! but do they really have to TEST DRIVE THE CAR???!!!! like around the block???(pissed) i hear the intake and freakin BOV reving hard and not even stopping to those speed bump... (pissed). this is the freaken reason why i hate going to the dealer.(bang)
