Okay, here's the story so far...
First, YES! They're coming to market!
ChiefsMS3, I think he may be referring to my MS6 center vent design. That one will be following the MS3 pod in production.
Now, I went to review the first parts run off the tool. These parts were made to get a good look at the tool's status. There are a few changes that the toolmaker would like to make in an effort to better the product. Right now, there are some issues with capturing air and such in the tool, so we need to iron that out. We're going to try different plastic materials and such to get these issues worked out. This should not take long, maybe another week.
BTW, the two parts I have in my possession are dimensionally accurate, so at least that part of the verification is signed off.
I'm supposed to talk to my toolmaker this afternoon and see what is plastics supplier has come up with for solutions.
This is NOT a big deal. This is part of the process. I deal with this everyday in my day job, so don't worry about any show-stoppers.
We are still on track to begin production parts by the 28th!
