Hi,
I am getting the Nitto 225/40/18 NeoGen tires on the stock rims in a week here. I want to lower the car a little bit...not much at all and I want to keep the warranty on my suspension so I am going with the Mazdaspeed kit. But, I just want to see PICs 1st. I *DO NOT* want my car lowered much and just want to make sure I like the looks before I buy the kit.
From what I have read it lowers the front a little under and incha nd the back not much at all to like 1/4" which if is true is perfect for me. Car is a daily driver at 500+ miles weekly and sees rain a *TONS* of snow in the winter.
Thanks!!

I'd like to see pics of MS3s with these springs too for much of the same reasons, thought the spring rates seem a tad high. I like the Cobbs but they seem too low and I don't want to loose suspension geometry and kill the stock shocks too fast.

Perfect picture. That is what I wanted to see. So it does close the front gap up a good bit but doesn't look to do much out back. That is what I want. I just put on some Nitto NeoGen 225/40/18 tires and need to close up that front gap but I didn't want a 1" drop because I am already scraping things with the front end. I have to pull into my parents driveway at an angle now and with a 1" drop I would have to park on the street and risk getting slammed but the Numb nut idiot drivers that come flying out of the bar across the street.
Thanks for the PIC.

ShampAss, how does it ride compared to stock? From what I've been reading, the MS springs are actually harsher then the Cobb springs?

Yoo swin,

I can only say it rides nicely. I haven't ridden in a car with Cobb springs. The ride quality to me is still very compliant.

Nice car
I have an unrelated question.
where did you get the fog light in yellow like that?
Or did you put window tint on them.

^^^your sig says H&R is that what those are? Any camber kit needed or issues with it, and what size rim/tire... those look like they fit well!

ya there the h&r 1.3 drop springs (after on and settled its about 1.5), no camber kit needed at all they been on there for just over 6000km not miles and tires are fine wearing perfect, as for the rims/tires there tenzo r type m 18x8 +45 offset with the stock mazdaspeed3 rubber going with a 225/45r18 when i buy new tires tho

that drop looks perfect! I love 19s and thnk they would work well, buit would ride rougher so I would like to also utilize the stock rubber adn get a set of 18s. I want something to fit well with the fender, as the stock rims tuck in too far causing the fenders to look bowed out... so I am hoping to find the right offset that will push the rim outwards. I would throw in 1/4 inch spacers all around but the lugs look too short to do that. Any spacers on yours? I think I will have to go with the H&r springs then, they look awesome! Any nasty bumpyness or terrible ride? Any warranty issues with the dealer?

with just the spring i found the car alot stiffer, but it is still a nice ride....and no issues at the dealer

Here's my ride on Cobb Springs I installed last week. Perfect drop imo, very happy with them.
