Corksport vs. Turbo XS

i like the divorced gases downpipe design of the corksport

I would assume a straight ol' pipe would be the best way to go, but I will say the cs dp looks DAMN SEXY (humpleg) But then again, how much time are people going to spend under your car checking out your exhaust goodies ;)

Well the route I was going to go was TurboXS DP & RP and then get the CBE from Cork. I think it will be a great combo since the Corksport exhaust is the most quit out of all of them.

Not to much more than the Corksport TBE. I think you get the best power out of it. But that is just my opinion.

I think it is really going to come down to sound preference. There is real theory in regard to divorced pipe [ CS ]. i looked at all three players. CP-E, CS, and Turbo xs. For months, actually. After the install, I had mixed feelings. Power was stupid. But it sounded like a Subaru motor. Quiet at idle and low rpm but you felt something serious was going on if you are into cars. And it is.

i am sorry to budge in but im trying to find out if anyone has done the turbo xs "stealth back" install and if you actually have to replace the gasket on the down pipe where it mounts to the turbo. my car only has 2000 miles on it and mazda wants my vin number before they will sell me the gasket i need. and i dont want them to have my vin associated with downpipe gaskets for warranty sake.

You don't need the gasket but i doubt they were trying to void your warranty they asked for my VIN when i bought two replacement sideview mirrors after my ex-gf knocked them out.

mirrors are a little different story than say,... a downpipe. I wouldn't do something like give them my vin # for a turbo gasket....when THEY arent doing any work on your car.... just to be safe they like to void

thanks for the info cageyvet ...but i still dont trust them with my vin # i work for a dealer and i know for a fact you dont need a vin # to use a parts catalogue.

well thats good to know... so i guess i can refuse to give my vin to any dealership if i need something...

Maybe they are just tracking design or manufacturing failures. Just being the devils advocate. Tell them its leaking and could you have the torque specs for re tightening.

ive heard the corksport cbe is louder than stock. when i hear it in youtube it sounds awesome but im wondering if it would sound much louder but not super loud hehe..if im buying a cbe i would like it to sound noticeable but not so loud that i would be getting tickets all the time. right now im only looking for a cbe. after the warranty time has past ill maybe consider going full tbe.

corksport is just as quiet at idle and crusing around IMO..but really wakes up when you go WOT.

this is the TBE with high flow cat in midpipe
