Hey guys, new member with a new car. 08' MS3 Sport! No performance mods, but I did do the stereo system already (Premier 980BT, Premier AMP, Boston Pro 12.5LF Sub, and JL C5 components). I'm working on a fiberglass enclosure that will hopefully be done in a couple of weeks.

Meh... its just the metra kit. Nothing special other than that. I hope to get a new head-unit soon that will match the interior lighting a little better. it stands out a little too much at night in my opinion.

Took some pics tonight when I got home from work. . .I was installing the wheel locks that I got from the dealer late last week. The car is a bit dirty, but that's one of the great things about a white car, it's hard to tell.

Just got a '08 MS3!! No mods yet. Any good sites to get pillar gauges? double or triple. What should 1st mod be? CAI,exhaust?

Hi - Mazdaspeed 3 Sport 2007 Black

Hi All,

I just picked up a MS3 sport as a Daily Driver yesterday. Its a 2007 Black Sport model and 9300 miles. Very nice handling car with decent power and a 6speed. My only issue is the plasticky areas around some parts of the dash. I guess thats what you get with an economy car. Driving dynamics are perfect for me. Nice ride, good power, good handling and lots of torque steer with the DSC off. 3rd gear really rocks. Still having trouble figuring out that 6 sp deal but it shifts nice.

Since i heard that MS3's run real rich i decided to dyno the car today with a WB. Turns out they are very well tuned. The a/f was dead accurate at 12.0 dipping to about 11.5 at peak torque and back up to 12 at 6500 rpm. So i don't know what the fuss is about them being too rich.

Numbers are 224 whp at 5650 and 243 ftlbs torque at 4400 rpm. Everything is really smooth. Torque is above 200 ftlbs from 3000 rpm to 5500 rpm. There is no real point reving it past 6000 rpm. Nice fat powerband though. I have no idea what boost its running because for some crazy reason they do not include a boost gauge.

It seems like they are having trouble selling these because i got a great price on mine and the mazda dealer had 5 new MS3's in stock. I hope it holds together and i don't go crazy modding it.
