MP3 Disc Issue

So, I have a 2008.5 car with the MP3 capable deck.

The problem is, I cant seem to burn a mp3 disc that works! I am using NERO. I have tried the following techniques.

1. MP3 disc with just mp3 files
2. MP3 disc with mp3 files and a .m3u play list

Both times, the head unit displays "reading" and then decides it cant read the disc. I am burning these on Memorex CD-Rs by the way...

Any ideas on what I could be doing wrong? Anyone else had this issue? If you have discs and have gotten them to work, how did you do it, and what program did you use?

Thanks

My first thought would be to try a different brand of CD. Also make sure you close the session on the CD, it may not be necessary but it makes the cd more compatible.

I've used nero, itunes and even just the built in XP drag n drop method. No problems at all. If another brand cd doesn't work and you've tried the cd in some other mp3 device and it does work, I'd say you've probly got a bad deck.

And just to check you're sure you have the '08.5 and that the deck says "Mp3" on the front by the LOAD button?

It's definately a 08.5 model... I'm gonna try one more time today... then try another brand CD-R... we'll see how it goes.

Well turns out for whatever reason that the discs I burn using Nero don't work, and those I burn using Itunes do... go figure??

That is odd... Wonder if nero's not closing the disc, only thing I can really think of. Atleast ya found a way to get it done.
