wow... that's a lot of plastic lol

Does the RB intake use the stock air box, or does it just look that way?

EDIT: on a side note: am I the only person left who likes to open the hood of a car and actually see an engine? Freakin everything new has got a crapload of shrouding on it now...

/rant

Yup, 1 fuse cover, 1 battery cover, 1 ECU cover, and the RB intake is a whole new piece made to look a bit like stock. And the fact that the rotary is so small and sits so low and back, everything else pops more.

I'm not done yet, this is only the current state. The intercooler pipes are going to powdercoat next weekend. I had to post because I'm proud to have "finished" the turbo installation and felt compelled to post pics. I didn't have time to clean yet.....so please exuse any visable dirt or grime.

More to come later.

what's the main reason everyone moved their maf?? was it the near stall coming off the throttle?

so he could run a bov and have it vent to atmosphere if you have the maf like this intake manifold==bov==maf when you blow off your letting metered air get out of the intake thus making you run super rich and stalling your car

Yep, relocation allows for a VTA BOV. The MAF is awfully close to the TB though. Looks like it would have been easier to have it a little further out towards the middle of that pipe.

my bov is on the outlet side of the turbo....so relocating the maf is not necessary, correct?

my understanding is you want the MAF between the BOV and the throttle body, because that way what the MAF is reading is actually what the engine is getting
