bpv options...

Sorry if this topic is stale, but I'd like to get some opinions on a few different bpv options.

I know a few have questions the need for this mod, but it seems the majority who have swapped their stock have seen performance gains (holding boost better, farther into the rev, etc). My motivation is performance gains and ease of install (subsequently ease of going back to stock). Value is also important, which certainly doesn't mean I'm only looking for the cheapest.

Based on what I've read, I'd like to stick with a bpv or hybrid, as I'd like to avoid driveability issues and potential damage caused by a bov (VTA).

Here's what I'm considering, your candor is appreciated.

Forge $159

Turbo xs fully recir $197

Turbo xs hybrid $206

Synapse $250

Please feel free to add something I missed that should be considered.

Thanks!

BTW......only other mod is an MS CAI

Throw the HKS sqv on that list, it is very similar to the synapse valve.

from what ive heard the forge holds boost the best and its only $160... i have the VTA turboxs rfl and it is LOUD!! and holds boost pretty good I love it. If i go back to recuric i will get the forge.

Do you have a flange adapter? The boys gave me one but its a hose connector T. Honda app. i could block off stock and move it downstream easy enough. But i think i would like it to attach oem style.

I was leaning towards the Forge......seems like the best choice for what I'm looking for.......I'll order tomorrow......thanks.

What does that mean it sounds bad? I thought that a full BPV wouldn't sound like much of anything....especially if you have a CAI on.

without the intake, i could barely hear the stock one. with the intake, i could hear the stock one but it was still really quiet. with the forge, there is a major increase in noise than stock when u r on the gas.

I personally like the turboxs, don't have one yet but youtube it sounds great, not to expensive, and I believe you don't have to adjust it like the the forge.

You can adjust it, but its easier than the forge. The forge sounds like metal scraping or some kind of chirping. It is really horrible. You should listen to a sound clip before you purchase.

I anyone has a good link.....could you please attach to this thread? I've looked around.....and can't find a clip that gives me a good sense of that sound.

I have an hks ssqv thats actually for sale. i could do 175+shipping.
It's the cpe kit, but itsmissing the vta plate so you can vent to atmosphere. I never got it when I bought it. I just decided to go a different route. I did go to the store and find a rubber chair leg bottom, that's the perfect size to block off the recirculation tube so you could vent if you wanted. Let me know.
