I thought I would post this as there seems to be some confusion, where people are taking their car in expecting a new fuel pump but only get the reflash and told "if you still have the problem bring it back".
If you read the TSB carefully (and it is worded in a really funky way... I didn't catch it myself the first time), this is exactly what they are supposed to do.
Quote:
"Step 3: For vehicles built before April 7, 2007 that are experiencing the conditions as noted in this service bulletin (rough idle, hesitation when cold etc.), AFTER THE PCM CALIBRATION UPDATE, check to see if the fuel pump has been replaced previously and if not, replace the fuel pump" (paraphrased the stuff after the all-caps part so I didn't have to type all three paragraphs).
so, just letting you guys know, they aren't supposed to replace the pump right off the bat.... they will do the reflash first and then if you still have problems they replace the pump.
Just wanted to clear up any confusion.
