great looking car Kooldino, can't wait to see some pics of it at home. After you zaino it, you should consider throwing some carnuba wax on top of it, it gives it just that much more.

1-sound deadening? Really? There's audible engine rattles and such that you can hear from inside of the car.
2-cruise control - Proteges have cruise control. That's hardly a luxury in 2008.
3-Soft suspension? This is an Evo we're talking about...one of the largest complaints about it by it's reviewers is the fact that the suspension is jarring.

the suspension on the 8 was harsher, cruise control wasn't an option, and sound deadening wasn't really a consideration

SuperProtege did 11.9, and I'm pretty sure im making the same or little of it faster 1/4 mile times with what i have with slicks, i still say youll make something like 10.8 to 11.2 1/4 mile...
11.5-11.8 seems to me to little for the kind of car youll have with the mods youll do.. These Evo got some serious potential when you put your hands on it. go for a high 10 sec Street Killer EVO !!!!

Not really. Many of the suspension pieces are the same. Regardless, it's far from a luxury suspension.
Yet it's an option on 90% of cars available today.
And still obviously isn't high on their list.
The X is a tad more refined than an 8 or 9, but a lot of that has to do with the fact that it's newer and more expensive. Things tend to get nicer with more money and more time.
Hence, why your Evo 8 had those fancy power windows and locks.
Guess we'll see.
The main difference is that to make that kind of power, low RPM grunt had to be sacrificed to make high RPM power. With my X, I'm not willing to do that. I want to make the widest AND tallest power band I can, not just the tallest.
