I bought the greddy prefect b spec boost controller. It dosent work well with this car.So i recently purchased the turbosmart boost controller.Havent installed it yet.Is anyone running this item and if so have a ny pic off installation

good luck !! there is like ZERO room to run those vacuum hoses through the fire wall. you will need to drill some holes to run vacuum line in and back out of. too much of a PITA if you ask me.

what the heck are you talking about dude? just run the hoses through the main harness hole like everyone else in teh world. I did it for my boost gauge without a problem.

thats where the wires for my electronic boost gauge go too. you are talking about the harness that goes in below the batttery box right ?? the tiny little wires or nylon tube for a mechanical gauge are one thing. trying to shove 2 big fat rubber hoses through that hole is a whole nother story though.

I'm talking about the one under the heat shield for the exhaust manifold on the passenger side... if the hoses are much bigger than the boost gauge hoses, it might not work though... worth a try though. it's a pretty big grommet.

does the turbosmart in cabin controller actually run pressurized lines through the firewall? You aren't going to get very accurate adjustments with hoses of that length, you want them short as possible.

Check out the HALLMAN in cabin controller-- it just extends the knob, not the tubes.

yes it does. the lines are like 3/8" thick OD too. a line in and back out to the WGA. my thought on this is either get a standard under hood MBC, or if you want adjustment in the car do it the right way with this............

I don't think it would effect the adjustment as much as the spike. seems like the larger the system that needs to be pressurized, the more lag you're going to have on the readings to the ECU. To me, that means big time boost spikes.

Hey Boost3,

Did you get the turbosmart in cabin controller installed? How is it running, accurate reads? Did you install it and tweak with dyno or just on the street? I am getting one and interested in some feedback. Thanks.

Yes i have installes it but i cut the lines and just lefd tit in the battery box.Its working good for me.i tuned it in 4th gear pulls.I also installed the atp boost cut so so far im runnin 17 psi safely
