I am going to be running the dual setup with a HKS SSQV... Where is a good place to T into a vacuum line for the HKS? I have my boost gauge T'd into the small U shaped vacuum line that runs on the back right of the intake mani.

I have my bov t'd into the brake booster.

I heard there was a check valve in the brake booster line..... is there a way to tell where it is so i don't mess it up? Mind posting a pick of where you T'd into it ?

You can feel a hard spot in the line if you squeeze down the sides. I will get a picture here in a few minutes and post it up.

(ignore the rigging, they didnt have the proper T so I had to use a universal reducer until I get the proper T)

Here is the whole set up showing the stock and bov.

Thanks for the picture.. but just to be sure.. the check valve is on the left of your T fitting? Thanks again for the info.

Also, my SS AFC should be in this week sometime... Is it safe to put another T into the brake booster for the AFC along with the T for the 2nd BOV?

The check valve is to the right of his T and you can T into the brake booster more than once but you may also want to look into a vacuum block which will let you run multiple vacuum lines off of the brake booster from one spot. Looks nicer as well as being functional.

Are you interested in a vacuum manifold that can be integrated inline
into your brake booster line with multiple vacuum ports? I made mine own and it turned out nicely and am considering doing a run of them. Mine has three ports. I use solid aluminum block, honed out and tapped for fittings. I still need to paint mine, but they could be left as a brushed look as well, I just perfer black under the hood. I can also only tap one side if you wanted to mount it to the firewall like other large name vacuum manifolds. I am strictly looking for interest at this moment and not selling yet, there are steps to take before that.

Anyone know the correct 'T' fitting size for the brake booster line? Or know the inner dia. of the brake booster so i can get the correct fitting. Thanks in advance!

3/8 was the ID of the bb line and 5/16 is the size of most bov's i do believe.

what is the point of running a dual set up? Sorry I just got my car and don't know much about turbos

what is the piece of intercooler pipe that goes to the throttle body - where the BOV is mounted in the first set of pics? I cant afford to get a whole set of hard pipes, but would like to get one for that so I dont have to jerry rig my BOV to my stock plastic piping.

You run a Dual set-up so you don't have to relocate the MAF. If you run a BOV with the MAF in the stock location the car stalls out if you stop after blowing off. Basically the MAF reads air that is no longer there causing the car to stall. Using a dual set-up fixes the stalling. Or you could run just a BOV and relocate the MAF after it. I have my BOV on the HOT pipe and the MAF on the COLD pipe...No stalling!!!

I think your asking what the whole pipe is called...If so the pipe that goes from the intercooler to the intake manifold is called the COLD PIPE.
FWIW the pipe from the Turbo to the intercooler is called the HOT PIPE.

ok , them if I want to relocate my MAF, then do I have to buy some kit to do it? And do you have any picutures of your car... That might help me understand it better

Does anyone think this setup could work on a MS3? Love the greddy type-s vta sound but cant run vta...........

Same theory I don't see why not. I just think most are better off relocated the maf instead. Tapping for an extra Vac line on top of all the ones we already need is just one more place to have a leak.

anyone running a dual setup with both bov and bpv on the cold pipe?

I am. Actually I am running it from the same flange. I have a tee coming off the flange on my Turbolife coldpipe and both the OEM BPV and a TurboXS BOV.
