I figure this would be the right place to post this. Anyway, here's the deal.
This car has been in my family since it was brand spakin new. The body's in decent shape as far as I know. It hasn't been driven in a number of years however, and from all reports it has a tendency to 'backfire' every so often. My grandparents got it for my dad when he went to college, and it was passed on to his sisters. Currently, my Aunt and Uncle need to get rid of it as it's taking up space in the garage. It's spent it's entire life in Miami Florida, and has been garage kept at my grandmother's house ever since I can remember. They're getting rid of it, and I'd hate to let it go unless there's some really compelling reason that I should run and hide (tendency to explode, etc). I'd probably have to drive it from Miami to Atlanta, so... that should make it interesting hahaha.
Obviously, it'll need some maintenance at this point. How easy are they to work on? Anything a potential owner should look for? Does it have disk or drum brakes? I know it's got manual steering, which is ok.
It's one of those "I remember riding around in this cool little orange car when I was a kid and I'd hate to let it go to who knows who" type of deals.
looks just like this:
Any thoughts?
