What have you done to your MSP today?

well today, i just took it to the shop to get it reinspected. i did everything the tech told me to fix so it should pass.

Ah, inspections, it cost me 250 to get my car to pass inspection because of tinting. Had old stuff removed and new put on after inspection. Hopefully PA's inspections are better than MD's. My car passed in late november and everything was checked tires, brakes etc. However only three months later I had zero brake pad left. man my car sure was safe, lol. thanks md for making sure i had enough brake pad to drive off the lot.

I almost didn't pass with my Evo because it's catless. (We have no emissions but visual inspection around here) I got my brother to weld on a cat shield from my stock msp exhaust and it passed. Now I have the freest flowing cat in the world AND pass inspection:)

since i unplugged my unichip, the ecu had to reset. the computer read 1 sensor, but had to reset the rest.

so now i gotta do a whole drive cycle and take it back to him.

I solved the MSP seafoam dilemma. I called seafoam and spoke to their head tech person. He said with the MSP since we have a turbo he does not reccomend putting seafoam into the brake booster or the pcv line. he said simply adding it to the gas will take care of the fuel line and the upper cylinder heads, and cleans up carbon deposits as if we had put throught the brake booster line or the pcv line without any of the potential problems. thought yall might want to know. btw it is 1 0z of Seafoam per gallon of gas, they reccomend to do seafoam for two consecutive fillups and run to E on each.

what constitutes a "whole cycle" drive

You can't reset the ECU and take it for emissions inspections immediately. You have to drive around for a while and get it up to 70mph at least once before you take it back (if they do the OBD emissions check like they do here in VA).

monster downpipe??

nope that will be here in a couple weeks it still has to be fabbed this is what i got in today =)

I noticed that when in high RPM ranges when I let off the gas for a few seconds (ie to decelerate) and then get back on the gas to maintain speed my car will puff out a decent amount of smoke - enough so that I could see it through the rear view mirror. What do you all think - rings, valve seals, turbo seal?

EDIT: Link to thread: http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?p=3772638#post3772638. Please help!
